I believe the biggest "hate" on JA is because of the perception that he does not have the balls to take on the league office. Right or wrong, there is the appearance that all he does is bitch & complain to the press & does nothing behind the scenes to make it happen. As for the knock on JJ's hire, honestly, at the time, there was not that much interest in the program for anyone to get that upset bout. Some people bitched about Daddy Dale's & Collis Temple running the program, but no one really cared enough to make it that big of a deal. Note that all the "hate" against CLM for getting a raise was directed at him, not at JA for giving it to him.

This....and the fact that he sends out emails telling fans how to behave, when to cheer, where to park, etc. He seems to have good business sense, but I don't think that he bleeds purple and gold the way that our fans would like him to, and I don't think he ever will.

If this BS with the SEC head office continues and he speaks out about it, I think a lot of our fans would change their tune. That said, I wasn't a fan of his initial hire, mainly because of the terrible way he handled the lacrosse scandal at Duke and because the AD search seemed half-arse done.

With hindsight, that may be a successful hire. But that had to potential to blow up in his face.

If thats all you got I would say you think he's great . I think he's done a good job escalating the entire athletic program. If you knew him you would know he's a really good man as well.
