I hated the hire and shite on it mercilessly but what O has done this year is outstanding.

The team seems close and there is leadership throughout.

We play tough, and to have the team smash the #2 team in the country after losing the week before is a product of great coaching and preparation.

Love the hire or not you have to respect the way he has lead the team in 2018.

Incredible job by the current LSU Head Coach.

“ incredible“

The (Florida) loss takes incredible job off the board for me, but the team and coaches have done a damn good job to this point in time.

I want him to beat Bama, before I crown him incredible.

He’s done a good job this season, minus the shart at Florida.

Saturday needs to get here.

Pete Jenkins nailed it in that interview this week. There are four key moves that Orgeron made in the offseason that he deserves a lot of credit for:

1. Get the AD to give Dave Aranda the $$ and retain him
2. Recruit and sign Joe Burrow
3. Recruit and sign Cole Tracy
4. Giving Ensminger the OC job (valuing staff cohesion over some young shiny OC that is ultimately aiming for their next job)

Another great addition that has been a huge boost this year:
--Adding Avery Atkins for kickoffs

Watching Ensminger call the game and see the execution against Georgia's defense was impressive. You knew what we had with Aranda, but didn't think Ensminger was going to work. Deserves a lot of credit for Orgeron going with staff cohesion over the shiny young OC that the media and fans would be enamored with.

I agree the staff has done a good job so far. Like said outstanding would have been 8-0. For him to cement himself as the LSU HC of the future he needs to finish the season strong AND finish with a top recruiting class. Recruiting and keeping Aranda in the end will decide his fate over the next 3-5 years.

That Florida game, LSU lost the trenches. Agreed Orgeron isn't incredible but he deserves a lot of credit for the start.

I am a convert and I do not think a loss to Alabama will make a difference for me; if that happens. I really see a massive improvement from last year. I saw some really good recruiting on DL and OL that was depleted last year.

My biggest hell yes has been seeing the offense improve all year. They are more vertical we are no longer a big 10 team from the 1970s. This is the first year I feel LSU has a real chance to beat Bama since 2013 when we had Mett, OBJ and Juice. This program looks like it is on the rise again because O's recruiting has been OUTSTANDING. He is hiring experts in their field and letting them do their job. He is getting more open in the offense which is what is necessary to win in CFB today.

I agree. I didn't see what the heartburn was with LSU fans. The guy is an outstanding FB coach. Glad to see him doing well. He seems to be a decent human as well.

No, there is no shame in losing a close game that could have gone either way in The Swamp. Had LSU not been in the game I'd agree, however they were, so incredible job O has done.

Anyone who didn't think Ensminger would work after seeing what he did in the interim role taking over for Cameron was fooling themselves.

I completely agree. Coach O and all of his staff have done an amazing job. Lots of moving parts to make this work.

He showed that he learned from that loss. Had a willingness to change what they were doing(being aggressive on 4th and short). This is what is separating him from last season and previous coaching stints. He is more open to making adjustments and changing when he needs to. Also we’re not running toss dive 14 times a game, which Les probably would of done against UF and UGA. Give the man some credit

He wasnt developing his own offense during the interim season. He was running an already established playbook.
