I'd go so far as to say he was somewhat lucky to have not been hurt.
Guy running full speed, hitting from behind, shoving him forward...yeah I agree.

Luckily, it was TM and if he had been hurt they would have just changed out the damaged parts for brand new parts, couple shots of WD40, and back out to spread hate and discontent.

The punter came running in and dove at TM at the goal line making contact 1 or 2 yards in the endzone.

except that the initial contact was at the goal line.

i already said it could have been called a late hit, i just don't have a problem that it wasn't called. but people need to quit acting like it was 6 yards in the endzone.

I just watched it in slo mo and looked like he began jumping at the goal line and made contact 1-2 yds in.

No biggie either way.

To the guy who said they show a better replay of it: Where exactly during the game was this replay?

I'll have to look on the DVR - it was much later, during a scoring re-cap...camera was behind the play, Breeding trying like hell to scramble to his feet, big 93 lays into him, and he really took flight

WTF IS LUNDQUIST TALKING ABOUT?

"Breaks a tackle... breaks another...!!!"

Boss wasn't touched ONCE during the return until he was in the EZ.

i keep thinking how we are LUCKY #38 got his wing flapping penalty earlier this year.

my hunch is that if TM7 hadn't seen the wing flap, he would have completely re-invented the word 'taunting' on his way to the end zone and we could have lost that score....which was a game changing moment.

on the cbs replay i recorded, they show the honey badger td from the south ez just before the start of the 4th q.

it shows tm7 getting hit from behind by #14, who quickly gets up and runs back to the bench.

but, along comes 93 bennie logan and lays the cheap shot artist out.

#14 Phillip Sims

Wrong #14. He's the backup QB. The guy who got hit was the punter.

TM7 deserved to get knocked on his arse. He pulled up before the goal line.

Yeah...It's a little known and seldom read subsection of the Official NCAA Football Rules and Regulations:

If the guy doesn't run as fast as you think he should...even though he still beats you to the end zone...You're allowed to be a dumb-arse and hit him late in the back!

Did you ever play football in your life? The guy was trying to run him down and caught him. He's allowed to hit him.

Not 3 yards into the end zone.
