FWIW Mathieu should have run hard to the endzone and this would not have been an issue. No kicker should make that separation on a kick returner.

Wasnt the only player Benny laid out on that play. Just watched again to the paly of the game replay later in the broadcast and watched Logan the whole play. Hes a beast. And btw from that angle him giving that Arky player a nap was no accident. I love it.

How dare you bring proof into this thread? I've been saying it wasn't really a late hit, but no one wants to believe.

This is the first I have seen this - fricking awesome. How did I miss this? How did the refs miss this?

This is the 4th thread that I posted this picture in. It was close, but people keep acting like it was a couple of yards into the endzone. I am just getting tired of seeing this same damn thread.

It was a good non call.

It could and should have, but it wasn't. Poor no-call.

he started contact right at the goalline. Not really that late to be called.

The P&G glasses are welded on some people.

ETA: The punter got up off of the ground and sprinted to close from 15 to 20 yards back. Anyone who doesn't appreciate that never say Don Beebe swat the ball out of Leon Lett's hand or can't appreciate fighting until the final whistle.

I recorded the game...it was a replay shown much later that gives a better angle of #93 laying the wood to 14...

...It has 14 centered the whole time, and it's obvious from his body language he was trying to get the hell outta dodge after cheap shot...then was introduced to Mr. Logan.

Is there a video of this anywhere?

my wife thought it was a late hit. i said, "nah, if it was a half a step later, maybe."

That said, it was certainly a hit done out of frustration.

It wasn't really that late of a hit.

They fell deeper into the endzone which makes it looks like a late hit.

I was sitting in the end zone and was about to get a pissed at the punter's cheap shot when one of the LSU players knocked the punter on his can! The punter got up to complain to the ref, but the ref just kind of gave the punter that "look' like he was telling the punter to shut up and be glad the ref didn't throw a flag on his chicken s@#t self!

I agree, and Francois wasn't doing his job, either. He should have put a block on the Piggy #14 before he had a chance to get to Mathieu.

To the guy who said they show a better replay of it:

Where exactly during the game was this replay?

I can probably upload it if I know about where to look.
