Winning like never ever before. I know I am certainly not tired of winning and neither are most of us on this board. It Will Be GLORIOUS!!

quote:

Trump’s economy has produced an all-time record-low poverty rate and record-high household income. Now nearly a million more Americans are working than just two months ago. Time to tell the story.

According to the latest report from the Census Bureau, the poverty rate just hit its lowest level in U.S. history.

Read that again.

That’s not all. America just also hit its highest real median household income in history. The Atlanta Fed’s October 20 estimate puts third-quarter growth at a strong 3.5 percent annual rate. That’s after years of Democrats promising us that 1.6 percent was “the new normal.” It’s also after barely more than a year and a half of Trump back in office.

It gets even better. Child poverty fell to just 13.4 percent, the lowest official rate ever recorded. Hispanic poverty fell to a record low 13.9 percent. Real weekly earnings for blue-collar manufacturing workers are up 4.1 percent since January 2025; construction workers’ earnings are up an even higher 5 percent.

It Just Keeps Getting Better and Better and Better.......

If this is peak, I have no interest in mid. Articles like this feel like they are pissing on people and telling them it’s raining. I can see signs of a gradual turnaround, but the economy is nowhere near good.

I think we've hit record-high cost of living too.

When inflation adjusted, it is not.

Can you even imagine where it will be in 2 years if this gradual turnaround continues?

Thanks TOD for continuing the productive fight with stories like this.

It is a relief compared to most of the folks on nightshift here. You would think we've become reddit-lite.

I've come to suspect the night crew are ether unemployed or government subsidized (ronricks -- looking at you).

Oh well, at least they're not drug pushers, who would never come close to a message board.

Does this use the Official Poverty Measure or the Supplemental Poverty Measure which factors in cost of living?

Because people that are struggling today keep that in mind.

Liberals really come out at night. I assume because we are asleep since we have to get up for work and all...

If the board is winning why is everyone always so angry here all the time?

September inflation: 3.7%
September wage growth: 3%

Wages are growing but inflation is eating it all up plus some.

I believe that is because there are about a half dozen paid trolls here who post regularly. Not to mention the numerous bots and alters.

This study is only inclusive of the first few months of the Trump administration, so any results would be more indicative of economic conditions in 2024. It generates the official poverty rate, which did go down from 10.7 (2024) to 10.2 (2025). It also calculates the SPM which increased slightly from 13.0 (2024) to 13.1 (2025).

Technically you are right, but shite is expensive. What my checks cover now vs 2-4 years ago has shrunk. I don't live beyond my means, and do not have hardly any crappy spending.
