youre right, they'll be more. almost everyone i know thats not a student DIDNT get them through LSU because you can get better seats for cheaper prices from online sites.

Almost every season ticket holder I know received tickets for this game and they aren't using them. One guy called me yesterday and saif he had 8 extra. I said sorry we currently have about 18 extra.

Plans change. People don't feel like paying $600 for a flight. People don't have time to drive 10 hours there and then another 10 hours back.

Bottom line. There are too many bowl games. There is nothing prestigious about going to a bowl game anymore since a 6-6 Temple team gets to partake in the festivities.

Drop it back down to 12-15 premier bowl games and you\'ll see more interest again.

Agreed, it's out of control. It's come to the point that if you aren't playing in the BCSNG it just doesn't matter.

ok, how SAD was it that a school that was closer, has a student body almost twice as big, and comes from a state with a population more than 4x bigger than Louisiana got outnumbered 4-1 in Omaha last year....please explain

Was going to buy some last minute tix because I have family in florida until I realized how long the drive was. Too long to drive and a bad time to fly, if the tix came with a reduced air fair or something like it could be worked out they might sell more. Honestly would have rather gone to the cotton bowl.

Exactly, and LSU fans are no different. I laugh every time I hear someone say "LSU has the greatest fans on earth". Bottomline: They aren't any better or worse than any other major fanbase.

exactly, weve done better than pretty much any fan base thats team is not in a BCS bowl, our fans need to look around the rest of the country before bitching all of the time.

we are in the noise department for sure , but seriously, how many fan bases can bring 20k fans to a game in Seattle against a team that didnt win a single game last year?

What bearing does the Humanitarian Bowl have on whether or not LSU fans are going to Orlando?

There is one bowl game that is worth anything, and it's in Pasadena this year (and it isn't the Rose Bowl Game).

I agree. And that's exactly why the BCS has to go.
It also proves that a playoff system will not work.

If this were the first round of the playoffs I doubt LSU would draw 5,000 fans to Orlando. They'd be saving up for a later round game and probably for the championship game.
In addition to that, the vast majority (if they went at all) would choose only one playoff game to attend. It would be all most of us could afford.

Exactly. That was LSU's bowl game in most fans' opinion.

I wonder if the same thing is going to happen next year with the opener in Atlanta.

Absolutely, the 2007 SEC champ game was a perfect example. Half of our section had Tennessee orange on. But then we couldn't get a ticket to the NCCG.

Atlanta is a lot cheaper than Seattle. I expect at least 25-30k LSU fans there for that and the cost of going shouldnt impact people's decisions later in the season to attend a bowl game.
