Neither would any other AD in the country, apparently.

[quote]good, then you can't bash O when Miles was the one to run it into the ground[quote]. Yeah and you will be the one 5 years from now still blaming Miles for O’s complete failure and why he gets fired

That video where he talks about how all the players contribute to the team - what a great press conference.

And, it was done from the heart - not this contrived "fiery speech" b.s. that we have now.

O did not fire Les Miles! Les fired himself because he refused to change.

Ha! Even at my age, I remember, not to long ago, all the O naysayers screaming for LM’s Head with the “old” offense, etc., etc. These are the clowns that always see a half empty glass, whose opinion is never wrong & do not know hiw to listen, much less truly know how to debate an issue or opinion. In case you missed it, the operative word was “clown”.

Sad times on the board.

So you stopped loving him at the end of a perfect season where we had to play a team we had already beaten in their house... even with that mockery mulligan, LSU still accomplished more than any team that year, and should claim the title.

I LOVE that man . Love is probably not a strong enough word. I respect him about as much as I can respect a man. I want good things to happen to him. I want to see his photo every day. I would share my lotto winnings with him if he asked. I would help him move a couch up the stairs. But boy was I relieved when they canned him . His stubborn hubris did him in. Nothing about the botched coaching search that followed changes that.

Long Live Les Miles !

I could not stand to watch 1 more game of Les Miles football, but don't fire Les if you're going to hire the got damn Rougaroo as head coach.

O won more SEC games his first year than Miles did his last 3( so far O has been an upgrade). There's a reason Miles can't find a job. He hasn't even been asked to be a consultant(THATS SAD) He has not even been asked to be a position coach(SAD) Miles did less with more than any coach in LSU coach in history. But he was a nice guy and the players did love him.

If there were only two coaches in the world,

and those two coaches were Les Miles and Ed Orgeron,

I would give Les Miles a 20 year contract.

At this point I’d take Les back without evening thinking about it. It was time for him to go but we seriously downgraded

he was good and I wouldn't say the 2011 Season got him down it was the defeat the year after that broke him.

No troll. I knew it was over when LSU hired O. There was a reason he was fired at Ole Miss, a reason why USC didn't hire him, a reason why he was a d-line coach. Feel bad for you guys.

Oh really? Can you list the names of the coaches still employed from the SEC “wins”.

Oh yeah, Miles never lost at home to an OOC opponent. Never

Nothing "broke" him. He was going to continue to be an effective coach despite, admittedly, some flaws (namely QB development). However, he did bench Harris, and should have been given more time to see if he could turn things around with Etling.
