What is Miles W-L record and W-L record vs SEC school? Now compare that to O’s record p.s. don’t forget to include his W-L record from Ole Miss too

National champ
2 time SEC champ
3 time SEC West champ
95/24 record (79.8% win record)
6-3 bowl record
His first 9 years were amazing, but he just never changed with the times. Everybody in the West was getting better, except Sumlin (at that time). He was staying the same. He began focusing way too much on skill positions in recruiting in later years, and neglected having a legit QB coach his entire LSU career after Jimbo left.

Les deserved better than to be fired after going 2-2 averaging ten wins a year and then being replaced with Ed Freaking Orgeron. I mean if you’re gonna fire a coach with that resumé, at least don’t insult him by replacing him with a potato.

Coach Miles did have some great "hold 'em backs."

How fitting is it that Les Miles won the 2007 National Championship? Probably the craziest year in college football history, it is not likely that we will see a season like that again.
In addition to everything else that happened that year, fricking Kansas Jayhawks went 12-1.

I'm so glad that dunderhead is away from the program. Just happy.

You may have missed the end of the video.

I would agree. There is also the lead out for the Wisky game in Houston that is proof.

Nothing "broke" him. He was going to continue to be an effective coach despite, admittedly, some flaws (namely QB development). However, he did bench Harris, and should have been given more time to see if he could turn things around with Etling.
You knew it broke him, since then he played a lot more conservative and gunshy. No longer taking as much risk and what not.

I'm sitting here wondering how anyone could think Ed Orgeron could best that.
frick Joe Alleva.

He is one of two coaches in 124 years to finish Ap#1.
Which means every coach we've had since the 50s has been garbage. Because none of them matched what Les did.
