That sucks. What does that mean for his ability to make another team?

Well if he can't pass a physical he can't play on any team.

They might give him another look if he can pass a physical

No need to be pissed at the Giants. I give the Giants credit for sticking by his side this long. First class organization.

NFL roster spots are coveted
Giants went above and beyond for Chad Jones
Most NFL teams wouldn't have done that.

No. you. The Giants stuck with him through his worst times. In the end it's a business, but the Maras and the Tisches were more compassionate owners in Chad's case than pretty much any other owner in the NFL would have been (except maybe the Rooneys).

The Giants did more than most teams would. They have stepped up. Jones' leg is just damaged beyond repair. He should go to Baseball now.

I wonder if he could pass a baseball physical considering it isn't a contact sport.

Ya. They haven't given him every single possible chance to recover and been 100% supportive at all.

They should just continue to make the excellent investment in their business of paying someone who won't ever step on the field for them.

Contrary to popular belief, the NFL is a business, not a charity.

I hate it for what happened to Chad Jones. It is absolutely awful. But at some point, you have to move forward.

Hopefully he will one day be recovered enough to get on the field again. If not football then maybe baseball. He was a hell of an athlete.

But the Giants went 10 steps above what most teams probably would have done.

Get recovered Chad. We're behind you.

Definitely not a position with much depth...would be worth a look, if he's back to full strength. Something tells me that that might never be the case
