Yep. At one point in the 3rd qtr, Arkansas had nearly double the TOP of LSU. Tigers closed the gap some toward the end, but it was extremely lopsided late into the game.

JD was not on for most of the 1st and 2nd quarters yet we continued to throw. We should have had our best backs in (Diggs, Jackson or Williams) instead of our 5th best back, Emery, and pounded them.

I feel like they throw the ball entirely too much, they're at like 143 rush attempts to 137 pass attempts and some of those rushes were pass plays where JD5 ran.

Had we stopped them on the 3rd and forevers the defense would have looked a lot better .

LSU had 2, 3-play, 75 yard TD drives. One took 18 seconds.

That’s a 1980’s metric no one cares about anymore. LSU was going 75 yards and scoring in 30 seconds on like three drives in a row.

And they still scored to tie the game. Might have even without the penalty on 4th. Maybe they get a field goal and cut the lead to 5 and we have to run out the clock.

So we could have won by 2 more points, I guess.

Your flippant remark indicates you don't know football.

It matters in the sense that the opposing team is putting together sustained drives and wearing down your defense. Sure, you may be scoring quickly, but then your defense is right back out there again for another round in the meat grinder.

It also keeps the ball out of your quick-scoring offense's hands. Can't score if the other team has the ball.

The cumulative effect is limiting the other team's scores while getting a few of your own, and possibly a few quick ones late in the game on a worn out defense.

It begins to matter late in the game.

Well if JD threw strikes to Nabors and BT in 1st Half we would have had 2 more touchdowns. Could of, would of, should of didn’t

It’s a football game. Same could be said about the TD Thomas did a great job of catching which was horribly underthrown and turned it into a TD.

That is not the same at all. That was a free play and that wasn't his first read. He was shocked to see Thomas getting open so he launched it late. Thomas came back and made a great play.

One was blatant bad call by refs. The other was a great play by the WR. They are nowhere near the same.

Also, you would be the one to make this comment. All you do is hate on Daniels.

LSU was scoring at will

Six straight scoring possessions from the second quarter to game's end. That's pretty impressive against a better-than-average SEC team.

Also, the fumble ruled a forward pass was a FUMBLE. His arm was knocked forward! His hand was OPEN when the ball came out. They scored 2 plays later

Huh???.I don't know what game you watched...the Hogs completely out-played us in the first half....I wouldn't have been surprised if Arky had won.....

Arkansas dominated the first half. If they were better coached and more disciplined, they probably would have been up 2 TDs at halftime.

The amount of pre-snap penalties they had was shocking.

it should've been 4th and long.

And you think our defense would have held?

Or not let Arky WRs and TEs run around all alone in our defensive backfield?

Or kept Jefferson from running downfield?

It was a fumble in the 4th qtr too. They didn't even review it.

They said his forward progress was stopped before he fumbled the ball. I've seen those calls go both ways but glad it favored us this time.

Yeah, LSU could have very easily lost that game.

It begins to matter late in the game.

Later in the game our defensive ends were knocking their offensive linemen flat on their backs.
