This isn't another thread about grad transfers or whether or not MB will start. I think he will lead this team and do well. Do you all feel he will be good enough with the talent we have to win the SEC? Or do you think we are looking at a Citrus Bowl or NY 6 (not final four) type year or years until our next crop of QBs come up?

The fact that there have been many threads about the future of the position should give you some insight that people arent sure he has what it takes to lead us to this level.

With that said, the biggest reason is he hasn't had to do anything as Burrow has been amazing. We just don't know. Time will tell the tale. Anything is just a guess.

He was also the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana.

Brennan has the arm talent to get the ball into our receivers hands. I think he can lead this team.

Caleb Williams is a must get to keep the train rolling, though.

I definitely think its looking up. Brennan will do very well next year. We've seen him go from a guy trying to turn it loose every chance he got, to throwing with more touch and accuracy with the limited time he's played. I think he's watched burrow and learned a lot. He will surprise a lot of people next year. The scheme will be the same with a ton of talent to throw it too. Not to mention a solid Oline returning. Gonna be a very solid year for the LSU offense next year.

Like someone before me said, it's all just a guess at this point. I do think we run an offense built for a MB type QB though. I think we will be just fine and compete for the SEC.

MB has the physical tools. The question is his mental preparation and game time processing speed. In terms of the mental aspect of the game Joe is an 11 on a scale from 1 to 10.

If MB can match Joe's mental game we will go undefeated, again.

If the coaches go after a grad transfer will be the tell tell sign on what they think about Brennan. No matter who starts at qb next year there will be a huge drop off in production. Joe Brady and the scheme change are great, but Burrow is the primary reason for this years incredible offense.

Three weeks from now would be a perfect time to start this thread

This is literally the most misused statement since '____is literally _____' was first uttered on line.

In my opinion only, if the staff goes after a grad transfer it may be to add depth because they may precive a dropoff between MB and the next up?

with the talent we have

let's see how the early departures work out first. of course I expect Delpit, Chaisson, CEH and Jefferson to go. but what happens with a number of other guys will factor greatly into predictions for next year.

that said, I think Brennan will do well. might have some growing pains as a first year starter, but those might not even be that bad with the skill position talent around him.

The coaches think Brennan is good, so he will start.

Man this offense is built for Brennan. He's got a ton of arm talent. This is exactly the style for him. I see nothing changing.

If we go 10-2 with Brennan next year its a success. Then 2021 we might be in the playoff hunt with his experience.
