You didn't miss anything in the 4th from Harvin. Once they stopped putting linebackers and linebackers that play safety on him, he didn't do shite.

This'll probably be a common theme with me, but I just don't know what our defensive identity is. Pelini said last year that he was about forcing TOs as much as (if not more than) bringing pressure. So that's why you saw us mix in so much zone. Last year was our best at it, we finished 2nd in the country in TO margin and amongst the leaders in takeaways. (This year we have 4 takeaways, and are 98th in TO margin.)
This year we play more man, yet hardly seem to blitz. Or even just vary the rush schemes among the front. When we do blitz (like say on teir 1st TD), we don't get there. So who are we trying to be a team that brings heat, or one that tries to force TOs, or a combo of both? Because it really seems like a more athletic, more-oriented version of Tepper's D at this point. Or Saban's early defenses.
