The lsu-hardin simmons game in 1958 was also my first game. I was 9. Been hooked ever since. Believe it or not, Hardin-Simmons was a decent team in those days.

"Why did Bear Bryant die?"

"Because he rolled over in bed and asked his wife what time it was, she said 20 to 10."

That was the first game I remember, LSU beating Alabama in their last time facing the Bear.

94 Arkansas. First game I watched on my own too.
Not counting 94, we've only had 2 losing seasons since I started following. I've been pretty lucky.

LSU beat uf in 1996. My dad carried me out the stadium in his shoulders. I still sit in the same seats every home game, all home game. Pisses me off that he can't put then in my name once he gets too old.

1972 LSU vs Ole Miss at Tiger Stadium. I was 10 years old. LSU won 17-16. I remember like it was yesterday the roar of the stadium when the team first ran out onto the field, the band playing Hold That Tiger and my dad pointing out to where Coach Cholly Mac was standing on the sidelines. I've been hooked ever since.

I do remember my dad listening to John Ferguson on WWL radio call the games on Saturday nights in the 60s. I was too young to know what was going on. His friends would come over for high balls and I'd hear them say the Chinese Bandits were coming. Sounded pretty scary to me back then.

This was my first game in Baton Rouge. Great memories of that.

I was between 4 and 5 in the early 90s we were on our way somewhere for the holidays and my dad had an lsu-tulane game on the radio and I kept asking questions and my dad was explaining the game. I was a little dissapointed later when he explained real tigers weren't playing. My dad still makes jokes about this to this day when we are watching games.

LSU 62
Tulane 0

We were sitting in the north end curve where the band/frats used to sit.

I was but a wee lad of 54 at the time.

I know I was watching LSU football since around age 6 or 7. The game I most vividly remember watching as a kid was the Blue Grass Miracle in 2002. I was 10. I remember watching them dogpile after and I had never been so excited.

The first LSU football game I remember watching was LSU vs Ohio State 1987. I was six years old. It was a 2:30pm CBS kick. I didn't really know what was going on, I just knew I wanted the Tigers to win!

To be perfectly honest, not much has changed since 1987

It was against Kentucky in the early 80's, not sure what year. But Kentucky returned an interception for a TD on one of the first plays of the game. But the thing I remember most is my drunk dad screaming "Run it up the middle again, Stovall!" So, replace Stovall with Miles and it's a lot like my kids watching a game with me now.
