Life is not black and white. Many, many times people believe that what they are saying is true. Just because Miles might be wrong does not mean that he is lying.

If Jefferson did not call for the snap, then Les miles made "an inaccurate or false statement". That is a definition of a lie, plain and simple. For a litigator, I would have assumed you would know this is a definition.

quote:

Ridley was in the vicinity of the backfield, absolutely true.

And Jefferson was not for over 20 plus seconds. Perhaps that would confuse an RB when the leader of the offense is out of position for 20+ seconds looking blankly and confused. And Ridley was not in the 'vicinity'; he was squarely behind the offensive line and squarely in the backfield. He was the only one...

quote:

However, he was not in position until Jefferson told him to get into position.

Where in said video can you get the support for Jordan 'telling him anything'. He makes no motion or direction whatsover (when he finally after 20 seconds gets in the backfield)

quote:

If the ball had been snapped even a half second earlier, the penalty would have been on Ridley, not Jefferson. Thus, the play had to wait on Ridley, not Jefferson.

With 7 seconds left, JJ STILL had not made it to the backfield yet... but somehow it is the guy that was there for 15 seconds before that who delayed the whole thing. Cmon dude.

Not expecting the snap when you haven't called for it, does not mean that you are completely unaware of the center.

He had 3 seconds on the clock. How much longer is he going to think Hebert is going to wait?

At :08, the offense will only be able to run one effective play.

You forgot to mention at .08 that JJ had yet to even make it into the backfield eventhough it had been 19 seconds since he was tackled (again I blame coaches)

there was no time left for two plays

As I said, if T-Bob and JJ get on the same page, T-Bob snaps the ball, JJ catches it and they run whatever play that been sent in from the sidelines and it works or not.

Then, the 13 men on the field call is made and the Tigers run another play.

That's two plays we get to try to score on instead of just one if both T-Bob and JJ are on the same page.

Right...............

Blame anyone you want if it makes you feel better as there is certainly enough blame to go around, but why get ate up blaming the team and fail to mention the calls/blocks/runs and whatever which lead to the the T/D and win in the final 30 secs?

We did win, you know.

Some need to chill and smell the coffee.

I just had a chance to review a number of the posts and I am surprised that there are a decent number of people who seemingly would assign a significant percentage of blame to JJ. Don't get me wrong - I do think JJ did things wrong in the last sequence - but I thought it was clear to everyone that the vast (easily 80+%) of the blame was on the coaches. I guess not ....

And while I don't fully agree with "just me," I think it is the disproportionate blame being leveled on Jefferson that caused him to undertake this exercise.

Miles: OK, he didn't get in. Now what?

Crowton: He should get them up quickly and run the 2nd play

quote:

Miles: Well, he's just standing there looking at me

Crowton: Signal in the play

Miles: We have been, he keeps walking this way

Crowton: Hell! Get the pass squad in and run the fade to TT

quote:

Miles: There they go. They're all lined up, but he's just standing there

quote:

Crowton: Why doesn't he just run the play we sent in?

Miles: Hell if I know

quote:

Crowton: Call for the ball! Call for the ball! There's only 3 seconds left! Ya gotta go! Ya gotta go! Oh dear Lord!

Miles: He wasn't even looking for the ball. What in the hell kind of play is that? I call bullshite on that right there. Gary? Gary? Is this thing working? Crowton, can you hear me?

Sorry not buying. As head coach Miles abosuletely has to take control override Crowton in this situation. Miles has a headset and knows what is going on. He should have never allowed JJ to replace Lee nor allowed Crowton to try and substitute. It is utterly ridiculous for the man who is getting paid 4 mill a year to just sit there, not assert himself, and then let his assistant completely screw the pooch.

Tomato, tomatoe.

The COACHES were to blame. And ultimately all coaching problems are Les Miles' problems.

Can we please stop using the term "Clock it"! The first time I ever heard that term instead of "spike it", was when Miles used it last yr against Ole Miss.

QB's at LSU always get "disproportionate blame".

Like JJ put himself into the game and decided what play to run.

JJ runs 2 plays and is on the field for the winning TD, but lets beat the guy up cause the team didn't look good scoring the winning TD.

What a joke!
