Are 1 and 2 conjoined in the SEC's rule? If so, that would allow the other schools to get away with the UDFAs and the mini camp participants. If any of the three violates the rule then there are many schools impacted by this.
There is no SEC rules that requires the SEC to investigate and/or penalize any particular school. The SEC can engage in selective prosecution.

GOP appointees tend to be in the up and up.
Also, I know of 2 hard-core plaintiff's lawyers that got put in the federal bench by Dem presidents that are some of the finest jurists you could ever wish for.

I'm not even going to argue with you. You act like they are on the up and up. You don't think that Skank has already talked to her? Kinda like the OM Judge that issued the injunction for Chambliss. Yes, he was State, but they had him in their back pocket the entire time. I don't believe this case will go forward, but I guarantee you this, they have been in communication, under the table, so to speak.

I’ve made this point a couple of times in posts on other threads but not thoroughly and coherently as you have done here. Well done. It seems to me that the timing on this seemingly silly litigation (asking the court to declare it has the authority to enforce its own rules) would suggest a concerted effort to harm LSU and its brand. It’ll be interesting to see how thisplaysout

I will ask again. If one, just one, other SEC school recruited a player in an nfl camp, how can the SEC justify suing LSU under this but allowing the other school to get away with it?

I'll attempt an answer to this question.
In its infinite wisdom the NCAA enacted a rule change that applies to the incoming class of freshman (2026 class) in its totality. However, the rule for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 classes will be either the old rules of eligibility or the new rule of eligibility whichever benefits the student athlete. For the 2022 class the either/or applies if the athlete has not exhausted his 4 years of eligibility when the new rule took effect. The subset of 2022 enrollees who have exhausted their 4 years of eligibility at the end of the 2025-2026 season(s) are finished.
The players in their 6th or 7th years are utilizing the old set of eligibility rules, that includes medical waivers, covid years, etc.
The timing of the passage of the new rule and the actual verbage of the bylaw created a discriminatory and adverse action against the subset of the 2022 class that have completed 4 years of eligibility. The Courts across this country have sided with that subset of players for this very reason. I have not heard of a single instance when a Court ruled against the player. That tells you something.
There was an easy solution to this problem. After the losses started piling up in the Courts, the adults in charge at the NCAA should have realized that they, themselves created this problem and should have addressed the issue by allowing the players the fifth year just like they had granted to the 2023, 2024 and 2025 class of enrollees with the either/or provision. But no, the NCAA had to double down on stupid. Additionally, they should have allowed the undrafted players who attempted the continuation of the football careers to return, as a one-off.
The NCAA effing it up since the 1920s.

I think that the parties that can not get a quick dismissal (Kiffin, Ausberry, Rousse) should hit back with an unequal enforcement counterclaim.
The SEC's own damn rule says players are not eligible if they "signed a contract with an NFL team"
Every player that went to a minicamp had to sign a participation waiver. That's a contract. SEC did not define contract. That's their fault. Therefore, Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, amongst others, should also be added to this lawsuit OR you can't enforce this rule solely against LSU.
You don't have to look far. Remember the Shemar Stewart saga.

Federal appellate court sided with NCAA via stay of execution in the Winse case. There are five other cases where Fed court denied TRO and Injunction and a few other cases that are pending the Winse case.
This is why all of the cases are in state courts. It's not hard to understand why athletes are successful in getting TROs or Injunction in state courts and losing in Fed court.
