I have never been okay with a C in my life.

This fanbase wants much more than average.

I think Mikey's drunk, but 2 things negas do better than any group on the planet:

1) build strawmen

2) move the goalposts

People aren't happy with 8-4. The "sunshine pumpers" just don't see a reason to freak out about it because it was expected. We had a young team and an up and down season is fine.

If we go 8-4 next year I'll start to worry. We saw a lot of positives this year and a lot of negatives too. I truly believe that Jennings and the poor offense this year were just a placeholder so as to not throw Harris into the fire too early, whether you think that is a good idea or not.

I think Harris starts next year and hopefully we run a more open offense with him, and our defense will still be nasty, especially if Kwon and Danielle come back.

The "negatigers" just have this idea that if you're not bashing Les and talking about tDelcline that you're happy with the result of this season every year. But it was really just a weird year in the SEC. Combine a down season of ours with great seasons by Ole Miss and Miss State and it looks bad. But I don't think Ole Miss or State will be anywhere as good next year and we'll be back at top 2 in the SEC with Bama.

I'm excited for next year. It'll be fun.

That's part of it.

The other part is what Saban is doing at Alabama, and that's not fair to LSU or Miles. Miles will never be Saban and LSU will never be Alabama. Using their success as a measuring stick is just bullshite and is frankly a bunch of butthurt that Saban isn't our coach anymore.

I'm not happy with it, but not freaking out about it either, considering this was supposed to be a down year anyway. Maybe a loss or two more than expected, but not a disaster season. I do expect next year to be better though.

Who set the bar?

Nick Saban averaged just 3.2 losses a season at LSU.

So who set it for Les to lower it, where we won't accept an average of 2.8 losses a season?

So we should fire everyone who can't do what Nick Saban is doing at Alabama?

There was a thread where I brought this up earlier. Saban is doing things at Bama now that he couldn't do at LSU. So why do we need to hold Miles to that standard when even Saban couldn't do that at LSU?

Never said that............

Bottom line is that Bama is at #1...Les gets all these so called great recruiting classes they are at 8-4...... Sorry but more of the same is coming next year.............

Considering that Les' best recuiting class since he's been here were all 18 years old this year, I doubt that. Believe or not have cyclical success in football is normal

Our defense will still be good next year, and will probably start the season off better without Welter giving up the middle.

And i just can't see out QB situation getting worse. At the very least we run more of what we ran against A&M.

If you mean more of the same, as in 8-4 i just can't agree with you.
If you say More of the same as in possible not a championship, but a good year, then that isn't unlikely.

But at the same time, who know.

he couldn't do the same thing at LSU, because at the time, he wanted to go to the NFL. he realized he was a better fit for college, so he came back, and has dominated since. LSU is capable of winning national championships, and I think Miles can win another, but LSU has to get better at the qb position. I don't know if it's a talent evaluation problem, or a development problem, but either way, it's holding LSU back. IF LSU does lose a position coach this offseason, I would love for them to hire a top notch Qb coach.

I see so many calling for change but no one doing anything about it.

Lurkr seriously????

Alumni, students and fans can't do anything about it other than not to attend games. That is how change is affected through the Universities wallet, if the football program continues the slide like they have these past 3 years you will start to see the University affected by attendance and donations. That will spring the higher ups into action, but other than Miles taking another job there really isn't anything that can be done. The decline will have to continue and at that point the Universities wallet will start to be affected.
