The whole process is disappointing. I think these MLB clubs put way to much pressure on these kids to make a life changing decision in less than 24 hours when they knew for months that he was there pick.

No contact with them for so long is just wrong IMHO.

Maybe LSU should recruit football players not minor leagus baseball prospects. This kid doesn't start this yr but my best guess is the Dodgers are going to make a run at him.

$1 million isn't that much money - you wouldn't retire on that shite

He isn't fricking retiring....why is this concept so hard to understand?

He can take the money, play baseball five years or so, then STILL play D1 football and have a shot at the NFL all before he's 28 years old.

While getting a degree too....and banking serious cash.

Retire? Get the frick out of here with that.

If football is your true passion, you don't miss practice. If $$$$ is your true passion, you miss football practice. Personally, I'd be doing the same thing he's doing, but for additional reasons. A baseball career can be much more lucrative than a football career. Plus, there are more than 5 times as many pitchers in MLB than QBs in the NFL. LSU Football is just an insurance policy for him, which is the smart play by the kid. If he signs, I wish him luck and much success, and then I'm moving on to pull for the guys on this 2010 football team.

Not much new on #Dodgers 1st-rdr Zach Lee. LSU fb coach Les Miles gave him permission to miss afternoon practice, so that's that. #mlbdraft

Right.... LSU should never recruit the best available athlete.
