Not many programs can lose impact players like spears, weeks and green and not see much of a dropoff . It’s a testament to how deep our roster truly is and the amount of young hungry guys who stayed ready.

Jhase Thomas’s emergence at deep safety allowed us to move Benefield to spears spot and keep Cooley in coverage

Losing weeks should’ve been crippling but you have one of the SEC leaders in tackles last year baking him up in Keys

Green is the one psorion where there isn’t close to a true replacement for what he does at the TE position but it’s allowed the rest of the wr room to elevate their games like Jackson Harris along with potentially mothershead being mroe utilized.

Reminder this is year 1 under Kiffin and prob will be the least depth he’ll ever have at LSU. Even then the depth of this roster is very very strong.

The team has depth at certain positions but is very thin at others. It's an impressive roster for Y1 but I think it will get better over the next couple years. There is room to improve

Indianas natl champ team tight ends had 449 yards and 4 TDs.

TreyDez had 433 yards and 7 TDs by himself last year. And we were 7-5.

Don't get me wrong.. I desperately want him back and he gives us a huge advantage. But almost every national championship team has won a national championship without a freak like GREEN.

I hope he comes back and catches 90 TDs vs Bama and wins the Heisman. Absolutely love Green.

Let’s pause and see how we play this weekend.
Should Kentucky move the ball well on us due to issues at LB we may see some real issues vs Texas and Bama.

I believe we have the right coaches to cover up as well as possible but now we are getting into the meat of our schedule and depth matters as we said, so Kentucky is a quality opponent on the road.

We will know how good of a team we have on our hands after this weekend.

I agree. I think Saturday has a chance to further differentiate from the BK era.

BK was absolute dogshite in away games

Considering we also lost Reliford and Anding before the season, that is a actually a pretty damn high level of depth
