The article states more than once that LSU fans are ripping on Etling because he came from Purdue. I'm not sure where the author gets that, but it certainly does not seem to be a common complaint here.

I've seen the comment that he couldn't hack it at purdue etc several times here.

Using your logic if Drew Brees was at LSU he would be sitting behind BH.

You can be the best athlete with the strongest arm in college football, but if you don't have it between the ears you're never going to succeed at QB.

Drew Brees is a FAR better athlete than Brandon Harris.

Nice read. As a result of DE starting, I will get up at game time in my location (2:00 am) to watch. If not for the qb swap, not much of that happening.

I wonder though that if Etling runs this offense proficiently would that change people's minds about this offense and the outlook on Miles

My first thought would be why did or do they try to fit a square peg into a round hole? If you insist on running this Offense with out having the style QB you need then the problem is still coaching.

Y'all realize that he's only going to complete about 50% of his passes for 150 or so yards and maybe 1 TD, right?

this kind of crap gets me. of course, this COULD happen yet you state it as fact. Your statement is what is defined as FICTION. look it up.

he could also complete 70% of his passes for 400 yards and 4 TD's. this happening would make you mad, it seems like.

give the kid a break. he will MOST LIKELY fall somewhere in between. I would also EXPECT him to have bad games and good games. to assume he will poor is crap. and yes, some are hopeing he's the savior of this team; what the hell is wrong with that?

" LSU fans that posted on this board were pretty denigrating...."

What LSU QB hasn't suffered much the same treatment at sometime in their LSU career??

I recall Mett receiving slams in 2012 with calls for the #2.

Those who can try to do. Those who can't, bitch bout those who try.

will Les stay the hell out of the play calling so that Cam gets his guy going?

This has been the single biggest problem with our offense since 2008. We have a Head Coach who does not excel at any one thing so he fancies himself an "offensive coach" and sticks his nose into the in game plan just enough to completely ruin any semblance of pace or flow.

Yes he is. BH is not 'WAY' more gifted. That was probably just posted because of race.

" why couldn't he beat out Harris?"

Do you know that "Johnny football" couldn't beat out the Texas A&M starter either? He only started because the #1 guy got hurt like two weeks before this season opener.

I think your question would be better stated as "Why couldn't he beat out BH at LSU?"

The answer to that question is because our coaches have proven they can not evaluate quarterbacks.

If you did indeed mean to ask it how you did ask it. Then the answer is, "He could beat out BH at most any other university!"

Those gifts don't mean shite if he can't properly utilize them.

A guy with a 12" dick could be considered "gifted", but if he can't get it up he won't have that porn career he's dreaming of.
