Win what? Your stupid accusation?

I don’t care about playing Clemson. I care about wrongfully being #2.

No fear of Clemson. I'd actually rather play Clemson than Ohio State, but not both Clemson and Ohio State. Not after the schedule we just went through.

What the Committee is saying to LSU is: hey LSU, you look good but we don't think you belong yet, so you have to beat Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, and Ohio State (all preseason favorites to win it all) to be champions; OSU is a blue blood so they only need to beat either you or Clemson.

God damn, it’s not complicated. LSU fans feel like LSU is the #1 team. With that, comes post season advantages. It sucks to not have those seemingly earned advantages.

Shut the frick up.

We went through this same shite back in 2011 and in the end it crippled our program for the better part of the decade.

There is a generally understood way that things are set up leading in to the postseason.

But in the two most recent times that LSU has been in contention at the end (2011 and now), all previous reasoning was abandoned and the postseason criteria seems to shift to "What scenario makes it more difficult for LSU?"

frick that.

Ask yourself what the playoff committee wants to see in the end. I feel the answer is they want to make the largest amount of money possible during the playoffs and especially the championship game. I believe they have decided that LSU vs tOSU will be the most interesting, most lucrative matchup. The Burrow vs the team that spurned him theme is just too juicy. They would have tried to set up the same scenario if OU and Bama were both in.

Once you have decided that LSU vs tOSU in the championship is the goal, it is obvious that you need to rank tOSU #1 so they don’t have to play Clemson, because clearly LSU looks like they have a better chance getting past Clemson than tOSU.

So in reality, though it seems insulting the lengths they are going through to manipulate things to keep LSU at #2, it really shows you that they like LSU’s chances against Clemson better than tOSU’s. They are acknowledging that their dream scenario can only come about by protecting tOSU from Clemson.

I don’t think there is fear. I’ll think there is uncertainty. Uncertainty about how good they really are.

There is no question they are really good, but there has not been a real test, except UNC, so...

100% agree. The biggest feather in the cap that I don’t think osu or clemson would have earned is beating bama at BDS (with Tua I might add. He was healthy, Don't kid yourself)

That is the trump card to me when comparing resumes

Also Florida or UGA would beat penn state, Michigan or wisconsin 9/10

Wanting the easiest path to the championship game is not the same as being afraid. Who wouldn't want to play Utah rather than face a 2 time championship program (recently) in Clemson? I can assure you that Ohio State and its fans feel the same way

Well said. We'd have a huge fan advantage over Utah in Atlanta. Atlanta is also an easier travel destination and more economical for most Tiger fans.
