Which is worse on this team? What’s to blame? Yeah, we don’t have Beck, but he’s not that crucial is he? This team can’t pitch consistently. Can’t hit consistently. Can’t field consistently. We have two good pitchers starting. I don’t see much beyond that besides some young good hitters. And when they have an off day, this team has zero chance against even mediocre teams.

We all know what the problem is.

We have a fricking Keebler elf as a head coach

It’s impossible to win scoring 0 runs.

The lineup is very inconsistent, even at the top.

Besides Marceaux and Labas, we have nobody on the staff that can truly be trusted. Beck always made me nervous, too, so I don't know if he would be a difference maker either.

We rarely pitch and hit well at the same time. It's really frustrating.

Bullpen is way worse.

Must win game down by 2 and Hasty and Fowler is the best he can trot out. Really?

The bullpen is the most disappointing. Coming into the season I figured our offense would struggle at times. I never thought the bullpen would be a problem.

We have the players, it’s coaching.

Why burn Fontenot in a game that’s pretty much over?

I wouldn’t have but Money, Coleman, Floyd, Hilliard, or Edwards would have potentially kept Arkansas to 3-0... at least made Arkansas burn Kopps.

They are consistent against bad pitching, but if they face somebody halfway decent, it’s lights out. It’s almost as if they are scared.

The irony here is that we concede 2 run games...in college baseball. The other ironic piece is that we are considering it conceding if we put in any pitcher not named fontenot or edwards

Shows where we are as a program

Didn’t Kopps finish the game? He only threw about 30 pitches so he may still pitch tomorrow.

It really is sad and I hate to see it. It’s time for some new blood at LSU. Next years team looks to be pretty terrible unless they can find some starting pitchers in the transfer portal or have a Lange or Nola type emerge as a freshman.

Yes, if we lose most of our top returning players, absolutely no one improves following their first year on campus, and no one in the signing class has a positive impact. In reality, the team will be better even if no changes are made, but will be significantly better given the new energy involved with what will presumably be a new staff.

The bullpen.

We have two guys that are awesome on the mound but when they're not playing, we look so lost. I am not trying to dump on any player at all.

Marceaux and Labas can only do so much. The hitting needs to happen.

Timely hitting. Not asking for HRs on every hit but geez, we are better than this, right? A base hit would be good. We got two runners on base when I was able to listen to the game again and that was in the bottom of the 7th. Meanwhile Arkansas got like 6 or 7. I honestly lost count of how many hits they got in the seventh.

I don't know it the team is overthinking things or what.

Mainieri put in Floyd, pulls him after two pitches. Then puts in a different guy and leaves him in. What?

When those pitchers do what they can and are finally worn out and someone else comes in, that's when the wheels really start to come off.

It's unfortunate because those 2 pitchers do what's asked of them.

It's frustrating to watch.

I know this team is better than this. I know it. It's like there's no guidance. Starts with the coach. I have no axe to grind with PM, I like the guy but it starts with him and Dunn is in the mix too.

This game it was the lineup, but our bullpen is more consistently the reason we lose. And we just aren’t that good. We are like the LA angels of the past decade or so. Some great position players, some good pitching, holes in roster prevent success.

Both suck but the lack of consistent hitting is a killer in college. This isn't the MLB where you have a bullpen of solid arms that can keep you in a game where you score 2 or 3 runs. Manieri has wrecked this program with crappy roster management and piss poor player development.
