The BlockParty setup at old CEBA is total BS.

Several people that had set up tents in that area last night had theirs moved away by LSU. Even though there are multiple spots open they were told BlockParty has all of that area regardless if they have their corporate tents set up or not. This shite just continues by this administration in its search for more dollars.

That has been going on since Hallman days, started with selling premium rv spots to corporations without even offering them to is normal peon TAF members, I quit shortly after

I think corporatizing tailgating is bullshite, but did these people really think setting their tents up on LSU property would give them priority over LSU sanctioned setups?

This is the type of crap that kills college football. The Athletic Administration is taking a part of the gameday experience and turning it over to a ln outside third party. They are forcing you to go through this other company no matter what.

It’s disloyal to their own fans. Fans will feel sold out by their own school with stuff like this.

I understand charging for a parking pass or something Of the like, but telling people they have to go through a third-party with outrageous prices for extra services not needed is a slap in the face of loyal fans.

When LSU first announced they were setting up BlockParty in this area they said it was where no one tailgated in the past. That is an outright lie. They could at least work with the fans to allow them to use areas they aren’t.

They flat continue their destruction of the inner campus tailgate.

It’s been Patrick Taylor Hall for almost a decade

And when I passed through there were non corporate tents outside the green fence. They moved those too?

We are out here at block Party and it's awesome. Some idiot students came up trying to set up their shite blaring rap Music really loud. One call and that shite was shut down with the quickness. The looks on their faces. Lol.

This is why I'm done with the campus scene. Got tired of the BS to have a "game day" experience. I get they have to make money, but damn, surely there can be a balance to keep some traditions!

just want to be clear what we are triggered about, so let me know if this is all correct.

LSU made it pretty clear, with maps and all about where reserved tailgating will be.

People set up in that spot anyway, and are being forced to move a few hundred feet.

These people are now mad.

Did I cover it all?

Back in the olden days, pre-tailgating and when games were played at night, one would dress to the nines, everybody knew everyone within 'how are you' distance. A bag of peanuts and game program were more than enough. The trek toward the light which rose seemingly out of nowhere was exhilarating and with each step closer the smells of tobacco and bourbon filled the air. A flask or two would be seen as cups of coke in paper cups would be topped off. TGBFTL was always entertainment and the roars of Mike a thrill as he was paraded about. The vilest of language was when 'Go to hell Ole Miss' came to town.

Sorry for the gobbled post but those were some days, especially as a youth.

Also, you would think the corporate money could do better than setting up by CEBA. Those areas should be for the common fans. And the administration wonders why attendance and ticket sales are down even more than the trend at other schools.

they aren't telling anyone that. They are saying that if you want to tailgate around 1 building on a 2000 acre campus that you have to use this 3rd party stuff

I am guessing this post is just as made up as the ones about HOA citizen policing.

That sure brings back the memories of 8:00 kickoffs. Those WERE the good old days. Everything you stated - and more. I wish more people of today had that experience.

You think that's cool? To tell students to stop having fun when their school plays a game today? You're either a troll, or 86 years old. Foh!

The only thing I’d be pissed about is if these tents were outside the fencing and they were moved.
