I'll put on my purple & gold basketball shades and predict that KRob will put up Kade Scivicque type numbers this year.

Based on size alone I'm guessing 2004 Kade.

This is the most turnover that I can remember on an LSU baseball team.

Only similar instance I can remember is 1997. Lost I believe 7 of 9 starters from the 1996 team.

can't be true. i posted that we'd suck at hitting following last baseball season, and got blasted because it was said by all these experts that i was basing my post on players who had little playing time, and would all be hitting .300+ this season.

That's the only one I found to be "close", but even then the returners had good numbers.

I meant to add more in the OP about the guys comming in, especially the transfers. But I ran out of time. I expect a lot out of Adams and Ducote. Thinking Adams at 1B and Ducate DH.

Then PM doesn't have to frick up game 3 so bad.

He lost me with his handling of the pitchers that game.

Norman was on fire and having his best game ever. Then...bench. He's not the only inexplicable action either.

You said none of them would be. That's why you were bashed.

really doubt we have any .300 hitters next year, so pitching better be outstanding enough to keep the opposition under 3 runs.

This doesn't warrant it's own thread, and it's news from last week but I somehow didn't see it. Chris Chinea was invited to the Cardinals STEP (Spring Training Early Program) program for spring training this year. It's for guys in the lower levels of the minors to interact with the major league club, but it's a step below being a non-roster invitee, so they can't participate in games for which admission is charged but he'll get to work out with Yadier Molina and several Cardinals pitchers for a while.

The Cardinals don't really split their guys between majors/minors for this. They group them more by position so that young guys in the org can learn from veterans and make a smoother transition on the way up the ladder. He's one of like 4 catchers invited, but it's still kind of a big deal.
