I am glad this drill is gone.
We had a few players over the last 3 years that got hurt from this dumb drill!

Also dandy don thought it was great too. I don't get it, stupid drill and meant nothing. Just practice the plays and win, beat the damn gumps for a change. Build team unity in other ways.

Is it ok to feel indifferent?

No, we have the worst line in the SEC West.

It was a pointless drill. It did always amuse me how obsessed with it the rant was
It gets fans fired up to see hits. But , we can also be glad it is over bc it is a high risk low reward drill.

I definitely think big cat has it place. Les said once that when you boil football down all the way it's about individual one on one matchups and one side moving a guy against his will.
When I coached high school wideouts we did a form of big cat every first two periods of individual and my guys could block their absolute asses off. The drill 100% helped create physicalality in that group

After reading past threads of people who scrambled back here to report who they witnessed in the big cat drill I was convinced it was often the most significant moment in some people's lives
Remember, it's "All LSU All the Time" for these sad individuals.

The only thing I will miss is the name "Big Cat"

But...the measure of the team's success for the upcoming season hinged on this!

Heard we're going to 'Bull in The Ring'

Aside from being basically retarded, the Big Cat Drill was also inefficient: two guys hitting, eighty guys watching.
If you really want to teach a team to hit, they all need to be hitting. Over and over again.
So, what I'm saying is that mass retardation is way better than two at a time.

Oh no modern football at LSU.
Where does it end, forward pass?

What about the "Gauntlet Drill"? I think that drill is excellent.

Good.
another worthless and determinantal Miles stain on the program has been removed.

The two worst football threads are big cat and #18.
