The Big 10 did not make a science based decision.

The case growth rate matches it's lowest point since June. The death rate lags cases and it is on a downward trend. There is nothing in the COVID data that suggest that football should be canceled.
And these numbers are for the general U.S. population which consist of mostly old fat people.
College athletes have NO RISKS for all practical purposes.

They have not made a decision yet.

Well considering that 90% or more of the decisions these days are not science based, why would anyone be surprised.
Almost all Covid19 related decisions are based primarily on politics and then PR

Models suggest the midwest, which has not had the high infection rates of many states is the next hotspot.

Models have said a lot of things since March.

Bro, that article is almost an hour old. You’re working with outdated information.

My point is that the Big 10 cancelled their season.

is that HHS data? The same data that the day they took over reporting the red states magically went from a step climb to a decline?

All data indicates that influenza is just as dangerous (or more) for college athletes than Covid. Yet we MUST shut down college athletics for the safety of the players. It's complete bullshite!

My point is that the Big 10 has backtracked from that report. They have denied that the 12-2 vote has happened.

Yes they did. It's cancelled.
Title of article is literally this:

this is not exactly true ask T Moore, but the rest of what you said is valid. I really don't understand the rush to cancel or postpone. Seems like you can always cancel games at the last minute so why not wait?
