Amen brother, unfortunately we have leaders who keep caving to political pressure and have had their Man Cards revoked.

This is the point, and I believe it is true. EVERY area has to go through a first wave. All of the politicians who locked down their states BEFORE the first wave hit did a disservice to their states.

The New Orleans area and NYC/NJ got caught by surprise, and lucked into the best strategy. Our second wave is almost over and COVID-19 is now just like an ordinary flu for these areas.

The midwest is trying to avoid a first wave, and the only way to do so is to lockdown. They would be better off loosening up and getting some herd immunity.

Johns Hopkins is the gold standard. The naysayers are using active cases as the indicator. We are in a downward trend, peaked a few weeks ago but current daily and rolling averages are higher than the lockdown period. Pretty much twice as many new cases reported daily compared to lock down.

The college admins are afraid because it is an almost certainty that at least 1 college athlete will contract a fatal case. Then what do they do? The administrations of every college are scared to death that the first player who will die will be at their school or in their conference.

They did this in an attempt to swing Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio away from Trump. Mark my words. "We would play football this season, but Trump's handling of COVID has been so awful we felt we couldn't endanger our fans and student-athletes. We were left with no choice but to cancel the entire season."

What I don’t understand is people saying he isn’t handling Covid 19 well don’t realize he wanted to stop international travel coming into the country long before he was allowed too. Hence minimizing the risk & eventual spread of the virus.

He was actually called a racist xenophobe for doing exactly this. Crazy Aunt Nancy and Comrade DeBlasio were telling people to head to Chinatown to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The case growth rate matches it's lowest point since June. The death rate lags cases and it is on a downward trend. There is nothing in the COVID data that suggest that football should be canceled.

ya won't see that reported in the mainstream media.
