Are you autistic? Or do you just read the OT too much and are making your 1st attempt to troll?

Not trolling. Just being honest. The, who's the bigger super fan, pissing contest is tired as frick. I'm not sorry that I don't want to sit through a 40 point blowout. I'm not sorry that if the bourbon is running low and we are up 3 touchdowns late I'll leave. I'm especially not sorry that those of you who bitch about the crowd generally can't afford season tickets. Feeling obligated to stay the whole game because someone who can afford season tickets gave you that week's game is on you. Looking down on people who leave games doesn't make you pretentious, it makes you pathetic.

Edit: Maybe a slight troll at the end.

its not that simple. People can walk out with the tickets of people who are still in the stadium and hand them to friends waiting. Then you could potentially have more people than the fire Marshall will allow. The fact that tickets are scanned does not make your idea a realistic one

It is sad, a lot of current LSU fans are baby's. They have to leave early because mommy wants them home by 10:00!

ACC schools allow this. You scan your ticket to get out and scan it to get back in. It was the weirdest thing seeing the stadium empty at halftime, but it was full again a couple minutes into the 3rd quarter.

And the idea works because they would have to be scanned out to be allowed back in.

This. Lots of places do this. But that's not gonna help the OP issue.

Fact is there are much better options to enjoy LSU football than existed 10-15 years ago.

OP is in a large group of people that needs to focus on themselves and not worry about what other people do with their time and money.

Exactly! I throw a bunch of money at TAF every year and buy season tickets after years of trying because I hate the LSU football team. I mean, if that doesn't say frick you then I don't know what does. Diabolical, ain't it? Mwah ha haaaaaaa...

You're right OP. The tickets are so overpriced that they sell out every year.

I would imagine many of the crazed Tiger fans that were instrumental in building our rep can't afford tix now.

So you want to free up high dollar seats to get the fans that can't afford them back?

No. The ticket scanner would have to scan multiple tickets from one person leaving for that to be possible.

Just 15 years ago you could park within a few hundred feet of the stadium for free and get in the game for under $30. And you had a hunger for greatness so the whole experience was exciting.

Clark W Griswold nailed it. What you end up with once a game is marketed to the hilt, is the crap the NFL puts out which is literally every second planned with music and ads and some fat bastard getting an award every break. Add the TV and the price of admission and what you end up with are corporate entertainees, and the real fans sitting down in Cut Off and Eunice and Winfield and Bunkie and even parts of friggin Nawliins screaming there arses off for their precious Tigers. And when they finally get enough to come to the game they find themselves in the upper deck for a Sam Houston or Kent State or a crappy SEC day game. The game isn't exciting. The season ticket holders are spoiled by winning and privilege so the place s is ANYTHING but the most intimidating venue in college football. Except for one SEC night game a year.... Maybe.

Unfortunately, Alleva feels the opposite, pricing Ole Miss upper deck single game price at $85 and State at $75.

The question is....what can be done about it?

Ticket mandatory to tailgate. Sell alcohol in stadium. Black out tv coverage in BR/NOLA for home games.

That will get people in seat for every game until the end.

My suggestions are dumb and will never happen. Nor do I want them to happen. But that's how the stadium will be full...too many alternative options to sit in TD for 4 hours.

I hate hearing the term bandwagon fans when referring to lsu and tiger stadium , that is a bunch of bullshite....

I have been to just about every home game the past 15 years and imo our fans have always been the best in the nation and still are to this day..

sure we pay a lot more today than we did 15 years ago and really I don't have a problem with that , I would rather pay more and have an elite program with great facilities than one that has been left behind...

the fact is the fans have not changed , the campus and stadium is still full on game day ...
we have always played a weak ooc schedule its just the layout of collage football ...
I do think that we need to go in the direction of a good home and home instead of this neutral site crap , at least we would have one quality game added to the schedule every other year and also there should be a rule that we cant schedule div. 2 schools ...

now I will say we as fans of LSU have become a little spoiled over the years ... with the success that we enjoyed its hard to ask fans to stay the entire game when we are playing an inferior opponent especially with the access we have to the team with the internet and tv these days ....

I remember as a kid having to listen to the games on the radio and if we were lucky you got to see the tigers on tv maybe twice a year , so it was a great thing to see us destroy teams like rice and Tulane and no one minded staying to the end and being into the game the whole time ...

every program has the same issue with fans losing interest and staying to the end of games an although we have the same problem as every other elite program our fans are still the best in the nation ...
