So, what you’re saying is...
92F heat Index—Myth
94F heat index—No myth
Makes perfect sense.

The Austin Heat Myth
Before you made this thread you verified that you weren’t leaving out any key differences in the playing surfaces, right?
Right?
ETA: Here’s a hint.
quote:
According to research from Penn State University, artificial fields end up 35 – 55 degrees hotter than natural grass in ideal heating conditions of sunshine and low humidity.
quote:
Once shaded, the artificial field will be able to steadily cool. However, with an afternoon high temperature of 103 degrees, a conservative estimate places the field temperature over 130 degrees at kickoff.

Are you considering that they were playing on turf? Because the temp on the field was probably 120 or do.

There was no air conditioning. La Tech confirmed that and Orgeron confirmed it. The defensive side of the ball always tires faster then the offense.
The field, temperature of the turf is significantly higher than a gross field. Playing on turf bs guess tires players faster.
Texas players were great competitors great opponents. Texas administration with visitor tickets the band and locker room were as petty and bush league as it gets.

Born and raised in central Texas and have lived in Houston, Dallas and Baton Rouge.
When people complain about the LA humidity, I always say dry heat is worse. Add the the field at DKR stadium , calling that field turf would be a stretch, in horrible condition,
made the heat worse. Will agree that LSU players proably didn’t realize difference in conditions.
So tired of Texas peeps accusing players of faking.... NOT a very good strategy in a close game to take best players off the field for an extended period for them to go get IVs FYI Some of those ‘fakers’ won’t be playing in BR this week!

No.
I'm saying the relative difference between Austin and BR render hollow using heat as an explanation for cramps/poor defense. It wasn't out-of-family conditions.
No reason for us to get blind-sided by heat.
No doubt if our locker room was without AC, that's a factor. I haven't seen anyone say what the actual temps inside the locker room were. I believe Ed. No reason for him to go down this path if it wasn't so.

Turf factor makes a difference

You're ignoring the turf factor. Temps on the field were likely way hotter than 110

It was hot as frick.. I was there
Posted on 9/10/19 at 1:11 pm to Ttazhorn
Or, hear me out, texas was trying to manipulate the game and got called the frick out.
Wait until next year. Visitors locker room is now ground zero.

My guess is, the word is getting out that your coach had the players fake cramps a half a hundred times to try to kill Texas momentum and it is making him look like a laughing stock so now he concocts this story about the A/C...
Take that L, bitch.
ETA: Also, why would we tell our most talented and experienced guys(Delpit, Lawrence, Divinity) to fake an injury? Because at least two(Delpit, Divinity) went to the locker room for treatment, I’m not sure about Lawrence. You are so fricking stupid, it’s sad.
