The addition of Kevin Faulk is huge to the program.

I will start of by saying that I would love to see him on the sidelines coaching RBs. I would also say he was offered the player support staff position initially knowing the he will be named the RB coach in the near future. This is probably the plan all along. I can't wait to see Faulk permanently get the RB coach position and hit the recruiting trail and actually coach. We have been fortunate to have great backs but damn the sky is the limit adding Faulk to your staff. This is about to get exciting.

Has he coached at any level yet or would this be his first coaching gig?

Recruiting board seems to think or prefer the coach from Kansas - Tony Hull for that position. He got two players from the NO area to sign with KANSAS football. Must be one heck of a recruiter.

exciting from a recruiting standpoint but to say he gets the permanent running backs coach position is a bit of a stretch. The good ole boy network continues to get bigger in Baton Rouge.

Hea gotten 5 and they were all 3* and above.

I love Faulk and he’s one of my favorite tigers ever but i would like to get a proven recruiter in place this upcoming year. ‘19 is critical to the success of our program. I would love to have Tony Hull and Mickey Jospeh cover NOLA and S LA in ‘19. All of the big time players in ‘19 are in South Louisiana except Ray Parker in Ruston who Steve E should be able to spend all of his time on. Well him and a QB.

Maybe we can get Faulk a waiver to recruit fo Jerry Sullivan like we did with Austin and Coach Pete.

Recruiting is 95% of coaching running backs. O’s hires have been absolute dog shite but Kev Faulk actually makes a ton of sense.

Again- His hires from Guy Lecompte, Jerry Sullivan, Greg McMahon, Matt Canada (bc it failed) and Steve Einsminger have all been lazy, trash hires and imo it will be the main reason he doesn’t get to chose another OC.

Or a really slimy pile of shite who took advantage of bad publicity for LSU and ruined two kids’ lives over what was probably supposed to be sending us a temporary message. He didn’t do a very good job of selling his school considering one of the kids was crying his eyes out while he was making his announcement, just my opinion

A first class running back recruit would be a better addition than Faulk..

Pretty sure Courville is the head coach and Kevin was a position coach.

At LSU the RB coach has apparently complete autonomy of the RB rotation. The head coach doesnt apparently control that or know who is being put in at RB at LSU.

He’d be perfect then, since Orgeron is hiring high school coaches.

That can be said about every position. O is useless. With that said- I would rather rotate in Fournette, Guice, Etienne etc. incorrectly than correctly rotate in Tae Provens and Chris Curry.

Nothing against those guys but the RB position isn’t very technical. It’s the best athlete you can find. Jimmies and Joes, not X’s and O’s. After they get past the line of scrimmage it’s 100% on the player.

So OL, TE's and WR's don't block downfield? Ok
