No one has a clue as to whether Faulk can coach or recruit. The kids he would be recruiting have no idea who he is or was at LSU, so that won't be a huge factor.

I would have thought that he would have gotten an analyst role prior to gettting the position. I love Faulk. But this is an odd move.

the sky is the limit adding Faulk to your staff. This is about to get exciting.

LSU fans are weird. go hog wild over a guy with zero experience in college, want aranda as HC and want an ol coach that's never coached.

it's like the attitude of our qb's; the guy on the bench is always the best. and we should fire everyone and pick people with no experience.

Kevin Faulks been running the show at Carencro for a few years. Only reason he doesn’t have the title of HC bc he hasn’t passed all the praxis exams necessary to become head coach.

He’s knows offense, and installed a multiple style spread attack at Carencro similar to what New England does. He would be a great position coach especially at RB. 2x All-American , 3x Super Bowl champion.

You left out “want a career DL coach as HC even though he was a historic failure in his only previous attempt at running a program”.

Is there anything in his record to indicate he will be a good rb coach besides playing for LSU?

Nothing in Saban's record prior to coming to LSU as well.

Saban took a probation-ridden program at Michigan State and eventually led them to nine wins. Successful as an NFL coordinator. This whole "Nick Saban was nobody when LSU hired him" stuff should end. If you didn't see Saban as a bright mind and a very good coach with a huge future when LSU hired him, you weren't very knowledgeable about college football.

And you know why Saban never won a Natty at the other schools? Money is the answer. LSU gave him the resources to be successful not the other way around.

No, it’s not. This will have almost zero affect on the program. It is a very minor move.

Today’s recruits were not born when he played for LSU. Doubt that name will help much. I hope he is a good coach of technique.

They won't have to. When their parents are all giddy over meeting Kevin Faulk, getting his autograph and a picture with him, the recruits will realize something is up.
