The upsetting part was in the manner in which we lost. We purchased weapons for Nuss, and we fixed the defense by purchasing dogs in the back end. And yet we cannot take that step forward; as a matter of fact, we took a step backwards in my opinion.

That offensive line is not good; whether Nuss is hurt or regressed, his Saturday performance was not good. Defense was kind of outcoached a little bit, but how much more can you ask from them?

The defense did great. The offense couldn't stay on the damn field long enough to give them rest.

Could we have won this game with Jayden at QB? Yes. Could we have won with Joe? Yes.

Our lack of running wasnt the reason for the loss. It was the offense going 3-0 keeping the defense on the field for almost 90 snaps while the offense was out there for 42. Nuss making awful decisions like throwing into triple coverage AND once again refusing to run are the reasons for this loss.

Nuss is performing so far below his potential that he just doesn't seem motivated nor is he able to motivate his teammates. We have nothing to lose by giving Van Buren some playing time. Maybe he could light a spark in our offense. The defense is playing lights out if they don't have to stay on the field 60 percent of the time.

Not to mention all the dunking that was being done on Alabama, and now they have the most impressive win of the season so far

The most upsetting thing to me is knowing that we have better teams than Ole Miss on the horizon and this offense hasn’t improved one bit.

Correct. The decisions by Nuss were the number one reason for this loss. Ole Miss would have had to stop dropping 8 if Nuss could read what was happens and take advantage of the 10 yards open past the line of scrimmage. His choice to throw into coverage versus hitting a crossing Sharp, or running himself let Ole Miss dictate the game. You have t learn to take advantage of what you are given. The failed two point conversion was a disaster because Nuss failed to read the defense and handed off 7 yards deep instead of hitting an open man on the right side. Missed blocks on the outside of the pocket don't matter if you run through the giant opening in front of you and gain 8+ yards.

It didnt require a Heisman winner to beat Ole Miss. Jordan Jefferson wins that game.

I'm so tired of this argument.

I was meaning to post this shite yesterday but said, frick it. I actually care today though.

LSU had the #1 defense in the country in 2011. frick the statistics that said Bama was #1. LSU played much tougher offenses.

Vs West Virginia @ West Virginia.
They finished 13th that year in scoring offense). They lost to LSU, scoring only 21 points. They put up 533 yards of offense running 87 plays, yet only scored 21 points.

Vs Oregon neutral site
Oregon finished #3 in scoring. Oregon scored 27 points vs LSU (with the last TD being garbage time). Now they didn't put up a lot of yardage, but they did score 3 TDs and 2 FGs.

During that season they only allowed more than 11 points, 2 more times. Won was 17 to Arkansas, who had the #15 scoring offense. And 21 to Bama in the NCG, who had the #20 scoring offense. However that Bama game acore only got like that due to the ineptitude of the LSU offense. It was the same way here vs Ole Miss. Ole Miss should have never scored more than 17 points had LSU had even a pinch of offense. A decent ball control offense would have likely held Lane to 14 points or less.

Right now despite only scoring 24 points, Ole Miss is still 14th in the country in scoring offense. They are only one of a few teams that have played at least 3 P4 opponents this season, so their O ranking is legit.
