Worst fricking thread in this board's history. Honestly if I had any power on here, I would ban you immediately for a stupid arse thread like this one. Do you realize how insane and pathetic you are spouting this shite?

I feel dumb for this but I'm gonna ask, who are your top 5 LSU teams of all time?

Oh ok.... now besides Bama, the other defenses we played were crap....
Wrong again peej.

Bama #1, Bama #1, UGA #5, UF #8, UTk #27, WVU #33, MSU #35, Arky #47.

Thats 8/14 games vs top 50 and 4 of those vs top 10 and LSU was rated #1 SOS.

Defensively,... stifling, offensively,... ran the ball great, no missed blocks, qb was so dam effective at moving the chains, They didn't make stupid mistakes. Qb always put LSU in the right play.
Everybody got opinions, but facts are Miles put out 3 teams that scored more ppg and 4 teams that scored more offensive TDs than Saban's 2003 squad.

2011 was #3 in both and '03 doesn't even make top 5 in ppg..

The 2011 LSU team had one of the most dominant regular seasons in CFB history. If they beat Bama in NOLA they are one of the top 5 of all time

That’s a big if.
It was a very good team and Mathieu made it an exceptional team. Without TM7 we don’t go undefeated in regular season and SECCG.
2011 was Miles best season.

2003, 2006, 2007 were the best three in my opinion of the mordern era.

The 2006 team was the most talented but it was missed opportunity because of Miles coaching. We had absolutely no business losing to an inferior Auburn team. That was classic Miles handcuffing Jimbo. We should’ve lost the Vol game because Russell absolutely fumbled the ball on the winning drive.
I think we beat UF in a rematch if we would have made it the SECCG. Not making the title game definitely excludes the 06 team.

I would not even rank the 2011 team as a top 5 LSU team all time and none of my top five all time LSU teams would ever get out performed by a 2-10 team in the biggest game of the year.
I don't know why you feel the need to keep rehashing about this team because it's a sore subject for a lot of people on here, but they were a great team and it was all wiped out because of that 1 game. LSU was full of great athletes on that team with the Honey Badger being the best of them. The defense was opportunistic always causing TO's, and scoring a lot off those TO's.

But the offense was a typical Les Miles offense, so it's no surprise that other teams or schools scored more on Bama than LSU did like you're saying. LSU was a one dimensional team that relied heavily on the run like everyone knows by now that was QB managed, and Miles' pulled Lee out after the first Bama game and never played the guy again even though he had done a solid job leading them to an unbeaten season up to that point. He then played Jefferson the rest of the way who was described as a pro style QB, but should have been in a RPO offense because he ran so well with the football.

LSU beat a lot of ranked teams that year, and just had to finish off Alabama to go down as one of the best college teams ever, but everyone knows the rest. Besides, I don't care what people say LSU should not have had to face Alabama again, you lose the conference championship, you don't get a do over imo. And it's much too hard to beat a team like that a second time because they had everything to play for and gain, and that's exactly what happened. So, yeah I would say LSU was definitely a great team that year that never finished the perfect ending to that story.

Wrong kid. The game was lost when the oline didn't bother to even try to block. Jefferson was running for his life the whole game. Idiots that think Lee or Mett would've done better need to have their heads examined. Those 2 statues would have been destroyed by the bama defense.

This was the first Alabama defense that Saban had destroy LSU OLine at the point of attack. He knew LSU just wanted to run the ball straight up, so he had his front 7 dominate them at the scrimmage to shut them down. And Miles of course never made any adjustments and kept running his RB's into a stone wall, and Alabama's defense was great that year. They led the country and I still say that was their best defense ever.

Let me preface this by saying the OP clearly trolling. If it isn't then may God have mercy on your soul.

You are trying to look at a team based on their performance in one single game (albeit the biggest of the season). That is just a plain awful way to do any sort of analysis. That's like me saying that Troy beat LSU who beat Auburn who beat Alabama so Troy should be national champions...

I like to think of the 2011 LSU football team as one of the most accomplished of all time with wins over:

8 ranked teams
3 teams ranked in the top 3
the SEC East Champion
the Cotton Bowl Champion
the Orange Bowl Champion
the Rose Bowl Champion
the National Champion

If LSU beats Alabama in the National Championship, they have to be considered one of the greatest teams of all-time.

And I also happen to think 2006 was LSU's best and most underachieving team ever. Loved me some JaMarcus.

Only a miserable count would feel the need to arbitrarily shite on the greatest regular season in LSU history, if not in all of college football history. And it was unprovoked.

Prevent your future suffering by just killing yourself now.

You are basing the team and season on one game. Not even directly, but through the transitive property. Nothing could go wrong. Carry on.
