Yes. Cowan was the arm Jay was getting warm in the pen, it was 4-2 when Anderson walked off the mound, we then put up a 4 spot in the top of the next inning, and Jay stuck with who he had warm to close it out for the last 3 innings. I’m not sure on the confusion. Jay made the decision to bring in our stud in what at the time was a 4-2 game, and he rode him out for 3 innings to save the rest of our pen?

But that’s not what you said. You said
We were. The first time that Cowan stepped on the mound the score was 8-2.

The decision was made when it was 4-2 and rather than scrambled the pen to try and get someone else ready he stuck with Cowan.
This is not complicated. Stop playing dumb.

If milam don’t have that error he comes in

I don’t necessarily agree with the OP but there’s a big difference between these guys coming in in a close game and if they would’ve been used against a dead crowd up 8-2

Don’t get mad at me because he said something factually incorrect. They probably should have had someone else in the pen getting loose in case we were to put up some runs, which we ended up doing. That type of stuff happens all the time. It’s ok though, it happens. I’m sure Jay will learn from his mistakes and adjust going forward because he’s a great coach.

Eve shouldn’t have listened to the serpent. Hindsight is an amazing thing

You. In EVERY baseball thread.

You’re so sensitive man. It’s all going to be ok, we’ve got another game tomorrow.

You’re in several threads arguing semantics in each one, but I’m sensitive? You’ve nailed it.

It may have lost the game yesterday; pitching Cowan like that was a good decision.

That guy responded to me out of nowhere with factually incorrect information. I simply corrected him and then you came in here to cry about it.

Making fun of you. Not crying.

I think Jay knew that the arms besides Cowan were more than capable of blowing that game so he stuck with him.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. This is a sentiment that 95% of LSU fans do not understand, particularly about baseball.

Are we trying to win 1/3 or 2/3? I mean our Saturday and Sunday Starters struggle to get through 5-6 complete innings. If he doesn’t believe that anyone in the bullpen can hold a 6 run lead with 9 outs left to get, what the hell are we going to do on Saturdays and Sundays this year?

Fair enough. We weren’t 8-2 when Jay was getting him up. You are correct. Not what I said.
