That touchdown was not the last play of the game

I have heard several TV personalities mention that the TD to Tolliver was the last play of the game. We had 6 seconds to get a field goal off if it was incomplete or run another offensive play. Just reminds me of how uninformed and wrong they were after Auburn in 07.

Because it was a successful TD pass, it was the last play of the game. Otherwise, we were going to kick a FG anyway.

Then why did we kick the ball off after?

Big question... Do you kick or go or it on 4th down with 6 seconds left if we drop that 3rd down touchdown pass... I still go for it IMO

I think Les actually kicks the field goal.
I'd go for it. Overtime on the road is hard as frick to win.

WAIT!!! You mean that a reporter got his/her facts wrong?
Imagine that!

Why not go for it? Playing overtime at the Swamp doesn't give you much chance.

I'd usually say go for it, but I could see someone choosing overtime in that situation. We pretty much dominated Florida. I'd like to think we could stop them or hold them to a field goal from the 25. Not to mention, it seems we had the kicker advantage. I could see going either way in that situation.

The way they had been schooling us with the wildcat and Trey Burton, you bet your arse I'd be going for it. That was the only thing we didn't stop all night, and Meyer knew it.

good points. Our D was holding them pretty damn well and their kicker was rattled. Tough call.

The way our defense had been playing and their kicker had been sucking....i'd kick it

their kicker is hot garbage and ours is the best in college football
so you kick it and win in OT after holding Florida to 4-out

Maybe some have said that, but I remember thinking I heard this then realized what they actually said (I think it was ESPN) "it was the last offensive play". That is actually incorrect as well, but it doesn't come off as trying to make Miles look dumb.

I was going to say the same thing.

just thinking of how bad this board would've been if he went for it on 4th down and failed. . .

What about the fake FG had the ball bounced in " a wrong direction" ?
Posted on 10/11/10 at 6:27 pm to Live2CTigersWin
I would've kicked it.
I thought with our kicker out we wouldn't have been able to count on the FG.
I believe he's out 4-6 weeks to to a gym injury, or am I wrong about that?

Are some of you morons actually saying you wouldnt have kicked the FG? Really? Wow....just wow.

Les wouldn't have made it back to BR alive had he not kicked it on 4th down and it failed.
