There’s no rule anywhere that says you have to be too cool in order to win national championships. Sure, there are other programs with stuffed shirt fans who would have you believe that they are above going onto the field but that doesn’t have to be our personality. Enjoy the game. Enjoy Tiger Stadium. Never take a win for granted and act like they all matter. That’s how you get the magic back. Not by pretending to be something we are not.
Going onto the field after a game, not tearing down goal posts, not trampling either team, is just simply what the college football experience is supposed to be about. An intimate celebration of who we are.

Also thanks for the 100,000 dollar fine. That is why you don’t rush the field when you have bigger fish to fry. Not that I don’t like it, but security will be beefed up to prevent it, if we would beat Bama.

Well said. With the way the current regime is trying to nickle and dime fans, I was happy to see that we hadn't taxed them to the point of apathy after a big win. Was glad to see them do it!

I have always been an "act like you have been there" guy but yesterday the players invited the fans down on to the field so I am good with that. When the game ended the players ran over to the student section and waved them down.

Good luck with that If we win that game, God himself wouldn't be able to stop people from rushing the field.

Where do you think penny pinching Joe will get the cash? Not from those parking lot fees. Quick hint: TAF fee.

Agreed!!

I’ll take the overly delirious fan base over the empty seats after halftime any day.

And to be honest, it’s been long enough since we won an NC that we can drop that snobbery. Let’s get excited for our team and our school.

no amount of security in the world will be able to stop the crowd from coming on to the field if we beat Bama

If we beat Bama, it's happening again so . . . so sorry, not sorry.

I was at the Vandy game, in Nashville, when they beat a ranked Auburn team to go to 5-0 years ago. Their fans got so excited that several dozen rose to their feet while applauding. That was heady stuff!

They didn’t win the national championship, though, so maybe the OP is wrong and the fans have to remain cool. In fact, they lost the next 6 and needed a week 12 win to become bowl eligible.

I think that fine is a violation of the 1st Amendment.

I have a great friend who took her 10 year old son to his first game at Tiger Stadium, they went on the field after and he just cried he was so excited. It was the greatest moment in his 10 years. Glad they stormed the field.

Yesterday was the first game in many years I didn’t get bitched at for standing.

The entire section of 409 stood the entire game and yelled their asses off. It was awesome to see the stadium rocking once again

These people crack me up. Georgia was the #2 team in the entire country. There's literally only one bigger fish to fry than that

The “get off my lawn” boring attitude is what killed tiger stadium. Out with the blue hairs and back in with the drunks
