I agree with this, but for me it was Jimbo. Just think...with Coach O we got most likely our first Heisman trophy winner in 50 years since Billy Cannon, and Joe Brady (because of his relationship with Sean Payton). Like puzzles fitting into place, almost like it was meant to be.

It is true. If we get Jimbo (who I originally wanted) we get his offense which isn't setting the world on fire at A&M. We don't go out and get Burrow because with Narcisse and Brennan (top 10 DT and pro style QBs from HS) I bet 99% of HCs role with those two. We don't get Brady. What coach goes after a guy that's 3 years removed from being a grad assistant to overhaul your offense?

It's been a bumpy ride to get here, but O has drawn to an inside straight and still has an ace up his sleeve (current recruiting explosion).

The herd mentality can overcome any of us.
It’s a lesson we are supposed to heed.

Don’t think that was true of Jimbo. I really believe a deal was in place for Jimbo to leave until ya boy FKA nixed it

I think it was a little of both. I think he preferred LSU but wanted a ton of money. He talked to us first and when it appeared he wasn't getting as much as he wanted, he used our interest as leverage to get paid at aTm.

I didnt want either... but i certainly didnt want Oregeron for sure... i ate my crow a long time ago...

I was actually a Gundy Guy... I will say this as ive said before, im a fan of Jeremy Pruitt... give him time at Tenn. its an uphill battle with RC but i thought he was good, still do.. My buddy who works for SEarch firm in atlanta said watch out for this Rhule guy... 3 years later hes 9-1 at Baylor... they got that one right...

O is doing great and I'm not trying to get rid of him, but...
