I like Gary Danielson for the most part. He has some really good insight. But sometimes he over-explains things like he's trying too hard to sound like a football genius.

I’ve always liked Gary Danielson. He is a brilliant football analyst.
Verne on the other hand was absolutely awful especially calling a Bama game.
Now Verne’s annoying arse is gone I think it its a bit more obvious Gary can be annoying too. Everyone was so focused in on Verne they didn’t notice Gary is a bit annoying too.

Romo is the new Danielson, only much more likeable.

Sometimes Danielson goes a little far into left field to demonstrate his knowledge of the game, he stretches it too far at times. But he knows his stuff.

He is usually pretty good but yesterday he was terrible. Not with bias or anything. He just kept misspeaking. Calling LSU Auburn or the other way around. Getting player names wrong. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him mess up that much.

Danielson’s Blue and Orange tie yesterday made me want to puke, but other than that, he did a great job.
Verne was god-awful to listen to, especially when we were down against teams. I agree he was just a front-runner. But man, did it piss me off to listen to him when we were losing.

Danielson is better now with Nessler on the play-by-play. Verne Lundquist set such a strange tone that it didn’t leave Danielson in a great place most of the time. The commentators should add to the game and not try and be the center of attention

Danielson and Blackledge are the most knowledgable color guys in the business. They're so good at describing not just what's happening, but WHY it's happening, and what's going to happen next. They both add hugely to my enjoyment of games.
You have to stop this "the announcers are biased" thing. It's absolutely juvenile. Those two guys don't have a dog in this fight - they're just calling games. If you were an Auburn fan, you could do the same thing.

All they could talk about in 2nd half was how Chark and Gage were everywhere, doing everything, even when Auburn was still winning. Thought they called a good game

Danielson was an average NFL quarterback. He's a big ten guy with Purdue and he started doing big ten games with ABC. He lived in Michigan for decades and had his own radio show in Detroit but now he lives in Florida.
I think CBS and the SEC could do better. He belongs calling the 11 am game on ESPN or the big ten network.
