I cleared this up 50 pages ago. I was making fun of A&M for manufacturing a "rivalry" that you guys do not and should not care about. Joke.
And again the question isn't about how talented your backs are but how good your OL is. Seems you guys have answered that. Just saying it's the only consistent and seemingly objective thing I keep seeing from Texas side.

K'Lavon Chaisson scares me. I just watched y'alls game against Georgia Southern and that cat is explosive. I think our best bet is to run right at him but he's a bad mamma jamma. It's going to be interesting to see if y'all ever line him up against our best OL, Cosmi. That's an NFL preview matchup right there.

Hiding playbook is not a good idea during your first game. Trying to implement and work bugs out in a game situation against an LSU-level of competition is a bad idea. I dig the QB for Texas, but he ain't on defense. Texas has a motivated team, but not on LSU's level if LSU is clicking.

I will be at the game and just want to say welcome to all LSU fans that are making the trip. We are happy to have yall and should be a good game. I have found a lot of posts on here very funny on multiple threads so keep it up. This is what makes college football great. Cheers

I guess all I've learned from my foray into the tiger den is how bad you guys suck if you don't kill us.

Saying a&m is LSU’s arch rival would be like me saying Baylor is Texas’ arch rival

A coach with a chip on his shoulder, what? Coaches harder?

That’s a no and a downvote for your ignorance. And you were doing so well up until then.

The LSU Oline is the weakest link on it's "O". That doesn't mean it's bad per se. In LSU's case it's just that the other positions are better.

Tigers return all WRs from last year. Five with at least 20 catches. Return three with over a 15 ypc avg.

LSU's five RBs are looking better than horns ONE plus two position changes guys. Tigers RBs accounted for 220 yards of offense last week.

Lowdown on tigers Oline. They were good enough to lead LSU to a 10 win season. Four returning starters and four more with starting experience. Most all are Jrs or Srs.

Believe what you want but, some of the so called football experts had Georgia Southern rated higher than LA Tech headed into the season.

No you go head and compare what UT returned on "O" to what LSU did. Tell me where you think horns have an advantage?

Should be a red flag just like us giving up all those passing yars. Spin away.

Read what you like into game one. LSU was able to run the ball with the most average backfield they've had in 20 years last season and most of the same line is back with more talent to carry the rock this season. As for Texas, last year’s defensive numbers wouldn’t make me feel better about week one. See the difference? Probably not.

I'm having a hard time with the last 3 sentences, to be honest.

People aren't going to read through the whole damn thread to learn that you were joking. If, in fact, you were.

Most UT fans that care believe UT is the real deal, but harbor deep seeded fears of how UT's offense will perform against LSU's defense. Rightfully. On paper, LSU is better at every single position when lining up defensively against UT. Offensively, the worry of LSU fans stems from over a decade of wasted offensive talent led by ineptitude. Logically, LSU should be able to score enough to win. Having a stable of RBs going against a nickle defense that is thin at the front and young at the corners should be a disastrous combination for UT.

But that's why they play the games. Both teams have tons of talent and there likely won't be the ability of either team to simply impose its will on the other and dominate the game. At least at a talent level. Until either team has to start digging into its depth chart anyway.

Nice post, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Live in Houston and agree that the Texas fans I know are pretty subdued about their chances. Hey, it's how we usually feel each year we play Alabama: hope for the best, expect something less than that.

Here's to a good, clean, hard-fought game...and to UT winning out the rest of the season (after losing on Saturday).
