There was a good crowd of LSU fans last year at the Little Woodrow's in Rice village. I prefer the Midtown location though.

Just go to the bars in the Heights off 19th and 20th. There’s a bunch all concentrated in a 2-3 block radius there.

8 Row Flint, EZ’s Liqour Lounge, Heights Bier Garten also located in the Heights.

Kirby Ice House either in River Oaks or Heights.

Go check out Saint Arnold Brewery. Good beer and cool view of the city, nice outdoor seating.

Ha treasures. Oh boy. That is closer to a brothel than a strip club. $20 goes way to far in that place.

Go to Chinatown and go to Dun Huang Plaza at 9889 Bellaire Blvd. It's like you're really in Asia. It's a lot of fun to go and explore all the different shops. If you go, make sure you stop at Nu Cafe for one of the best desserts you'll ever eat.

If you want a true Houston local bar, then Lizzard’s Pub. That’d be the equivalent of a Ivar’s or Bogie’s in BR. If you want the more mega-corporate, packed with hundreds or thousands of people. Then 20th street in the Heights has like 8 large bars all next to each other. McIntyre’s is an example.

I quit going to the alumni watch parties when they moved from Little Woodrows on Shepherd to the Drift. Too big & glitzy for me. I prefer a place with that pub vibe. The alumni association has since moved further west to the Christian’s Tailgate @ Gessner (another forgettable place).

BLVD is arse. If you’re one of those “piped in music in tiger stadium” boomers you will definitely hate BLVD

Nothing within walking distance around stadium, unless you want to get robbed and or shot.

LINK biggio's sports bar in the Marriott downtown near astros ballpark. I noticed houston texans play chargers at 330pm before the lsu-houston game at 8. Sports bars will be busy that saturday.

I mean, I agree with you. Wish they would do it at Shady Acres or somewhere like that.
