It's unfortunate for Evans and Schmidt they were forced into roles they weren't ready for. Evans wasn't ready to be the Friday night guy and Schmidt would've be much better continuing to pitch on Sundays. Oh well, that's how the cookie crumbles, I suppose.

Well, this is the only team Jay has had here that never improved. We saw a lot of improvement from the 22 and 24 groups and they played their best ball at the end of the season. It was natural to expect at least some this year.

I wish we would've kept playing offense like we did against Kentucky. This team can't come through with clutch hits so we should try and manufacture runs a little more often it seems.
