I respect Bradshaw
quote:

4X Superbowl champion, 2X MVP, number 1 overall pick, all decade Team, all pro!!! I could keep going but I dont wanna seem like I’m being a Fan lol. I met Mr Bradshaw several times and his evaluation of QBs is top notch. I respect his decision and Sam needs to respect it as well and try and get better if that’s possible. Mr. Bradshaw knows qb talent and he is being honest. Its evident his arm strength is gone and cant throw the ball deep I wish Sam would have the correct shoulder surgery instead of doing this rehab and having a pitch count. Will Sam make all conference its possible because he is a running QB it’s easier to do. Another note I do remember what Trent Dilfer said about Sam at the elite 11 when (Tua just outshined everyone) Sam couldnt make certain throws and was having a hard time in the pocket. Trent call him a "baller" and said if he wants to make it at the QB postion he needs to change his game and add wrinkles to it and then called him Tim Tebow lol. I’m glad we have Sam as A Longhorn and as our QB but all the talk about the next level is premature.#hookem

Bradshaw has always publicly cheered for LSU and talked them up. He was recruited by LSU.

Ehlinger isn’t close to what Tebow was in college.

He is effective with his feet when the play breaks down and is difficult to tackle, but he’s definitely not sitting in the pocket lighting defenses up or making throws on the run.

Texas had one of the least explosive offenses as they lived on slants and screens vs. Big12 defenses.

For all of the stats he put up over the season, Ehlinger threw for under 170 yards and 0 TDs against an unenthused UGA, with their Thorpe winner sitting out.

LSU will be in press coverage all night with K’Lavon wreaking havoc.

Ehlinger will be exposed.

Ehlinger is a very good college QB, but i don’t see him as a pro.

I love Burrow, but Ehlinger is tough as nails and a winner. He beat Oklahoma and UGA last year.

He hasn’t played a defense like ours.

Chaisson, Delpit, Phillips, et al. will eat him alive.

He was actually committed to LSU. I remember watching him play in the Louisiana All Stars game at Tiger Stadium in the summer after his senior year in High School.

He threw some lasers in that game 40-50 yards downfield.

And Burrow isn’t tough as nails?
Dude got steam rolled in the bowl game and got up and threw 4 TD passes.
That’s tough as nails.....

I have no idea what was said in that long paragraph. Reading the commentary, I like Bradshaw and think Burrow could kick any quarterback’s arse.

I remember he was asked about this during his broadcast of the LSU vs Notre Dame bowl game. His response was that he would love to have attended LSU, but he didn’t pass the admission requirements. Terry is one of my all time favorite QB’s. I’d have loved to see him play for the Tigers. One thing about him is that he will tell the honest truth. That’s EXTREMELY rare in today’s PC world.

That was a dirty-arse hit to boot. I don't give a damn what the rules permit.
