Spot on.

Is he wrong?
Yes. There hasn't been a qb to win the heisman or national championship since 2000 that got alot of playing time as a TRUE FRESHMAN. It was painfully obvious (except to the miles haters) during the Auburn game that Harris was not ready. Playing Harris had much greater risk of breaking him and turning him into the next Jarrett Lee than it did turning him into a superstar.

Terry didn't watch the Auburn game, obviously

I know that there are a lot of people that don't want to hear the truth, BUT with Bobby Hebert after the NC Game J Gruden on Monday Night Football and TERRY BRADSHAW maybe we will put some wrinkles in our offense that actually looks like it belongs in TODAYS FOOTBALL. MILES and MEDIOCRITY HAS GOT TO CHANGE--THANK YOU TERRY BRADSHAW FROM THE LSU FANS; THE MILES LOVERS WILL NOT LIKE THIS CAUSE U ARE MESSING WITH LES AND MEDIOCRITY

yeah sounds like some expert analysis right there, his opinion is as insightful as his opinion on how well Mayweather/Pac training camp is going

There is a reason that year in and year out LSU's offense ranks among the worst in College football not just the SEC but all of College football. IT'S GOT TO CHANGE OR WE WILL CONTINUE TO field great talent and yet spin in mediocrity
Posted on 4/11/15 at 10:30 am to nolatrain504
Truth hurts. Miles runs a stale offense and is to damn stubborn to change. Until he leaves we won't see a real passing game.

Terry just told the truth. Why all the hate?

Pffft. There's no way you can compare the collective football knowledge of Bradshaw, Hebert and Gruden to what chilge, BeeFense and Gray Tiger bring to the table. It's easier to just say that all the analysts hate LSU and/or never watch the games or film, no matter how accurate their observations might be. It casts a shadow on the sunshine, so it must be discredited.

I hope Jennings balls out next year.

This is inaccurate. LSU had open admissions back then. Far dumber people played football for LSU back then, and that is still the case as exceptions are made in special circumstances (i.e., athletics). LSU was stacked at QB at the time and didn't need him. Even if they did, his talent would have probably been wasted like what happened to Bert Jones. Shortly after leaving LSU, Jones quipped that the highlight of his career at LSU was leaving. You had one hell of a drop back passing QB who they were trying to have run the option more than pass. At La Tech he was a big fish in a small pond.

Has Terry ever been to a practice? Has Terry ever been in the film room with the QB's and coaches? If not, then he made an uninformed statement.

Gruden's comment on MNF about not winning a championship at LSU with Mett, OBJ, Landry, and Hill completely disregards the defensive losses on that team. I promise you if the 2013 squad had managed to hold onto Mingo, Montgomery, Minter, Reid, and Simon that it would have been the GOAT.
Even if Bradshaw does follow LSU QB development, which has been pitiful since Jimbo left, he either doesn't know that LSU changed OCs, or doesn't know shite about Cam as an offensive coordinator.
His comment about LSU not teaching it's QBs to read defenses is completely asinine because we're one of the few schools left that still does. The new trend in CFB is what has been happening in high school. Put a great athlete at QB and take all the thinking out of playing the position. It's why there are so many players that light up scoreboards in college and exit the league after their rookie contracts.
Only LSU, Georgia, and a few other schools with a national presence still ask their QBs to do this, and it's why Stafford and Mettenberger are starters and why Murray and Flynn will retire from the NFL.

Here come the DA 2013 OFFENSE DOE posts....
I love that people just want to throw that year away and hang on to the bad ones. Makes you look real intelligent and one sided. Miles has been here 10 years. We've had 4 QB'S go pro and PLAY in the NFL. Two that started thier first year. That's an average of one every 3 years.............am I missing something????????????

Holy shite. I actually agree with you on this.

Okay... Gonna be very careful here in the interest of finding common ground.
It is much easier to play the quarterback position when you don't have to think.... which is the reason that Urban Meyer can start JT Barrett or Cardale Jones and they can be very productive with hardly any dropoff and why Mettenberger and Russell needed two seasons before there wasn't a defense in CFB that could stop them.
Jennings is entering his third season. I've been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in his first two years, and recognize that the situation last year with Dural being the most experienced returning receiver with 7 career receptions only complicated the matter. Since then, Cameron has stated in interviews that, as a departure from last year where neither QB knew the offense well enough to even consider how defenses were adjusting, both QBs are now comfortable in the offense and are progressing with reading defenses.
If Jennings does not make a 2005-06 Russell or 2012-13 Mettenberger improvement in his game, which for him would probably be about a 55% completion percentage and 200 total yards, Harris should be asked to take over and run the offense with the expectation that he will have some piss-poor games along the way.
As has been stated in this thread, the QB crisis ended two years ago, Cameron has improved both QB development and recruiting drastically since he's been here. What Cameron and the QBs need is the one thing our fans are least inclined to give him. Time.
I truly believe we will see a 2005 type passing attack this year followed by a 2006 type attack in 2016. If Harris is still here in 2017, we may damn well see 2001.

Terry dishes the same game plan the Steelers use. Put Archie with that team and Terry with the Saints and Terry is living off his social security check and raising food stamp grandkids.
