If thats his preferred offense, why do we continue to recruit pocket passers like Mett, Rivers, and Kiel?
I'm not arguing with you either, just trying to make sense of it.

Beat me to it, that's a very high drop %.
Not really, especially given the inaccuracy of one of the guys throwing him the ball.
If Shep goes I hope he is the combine Mike Mamula of receivers and gets paid big. As a receiver who wants to play in a offense where passing is an afterthought if that? Then you ask him to put faith in a coach to change his well demonstrated tendencies for you with an unproven QB in 2012? Same running game will be on the field paired with an above averge D, why throw until necessary. Good luck with changing that.
Then again, Rashaun Woods had close to 1,400 receiving yards in 2003 catching balls from Josh Fields under Miles, so there is still a glimmer of hope. If defensive field days by UGA and Bama didn't make the case for a truly diversified offense @ LSU then I don't know what will. Even the most stubborn man in the world would second guess his non-functional offensive game plan.

Serious question right here guys, for real. I'm being serious...
Do you guys think the players read the Rant? I don't know if they do or don't, that's why I'm asking??
I would venture to say they get curious every so often. That being said, I would hope they know that 95% of the posters here are idiots most of the time and 100% are idiots at some point.
We are fans and fans are stupid. If an athlete doesn't realize that then maybe they should be given a retard test

do u think we are gonna run the JJ offense with Zach?
No but Mett did have the best rushing avg on the team.

The only difference between RS's situation and TT's situation is that RS will have a better pocket passer throwing him the ball if he stays his senior year.
This.... he knows better than we do how well Mett throws the ball. Shep is a bright guy, I am sure he will settle down and see the upside of staying, playing with a better passer and getting a degree.. CLM will throw the ball, we were pretty balanced for the first 9 games...

Well let's see, he recruited Perrilloux (dual-threat), Jarrett Lee (pocket), Russell Shepard (dual-threat), Jerrard Randall (dual), Zach Lee (pocket), Gunner Kiel (pocket)
Does Les really know what he wants?

True but it's almost like looking at an ex gf's facebook page you know your not gonna like what you see but you still want to look and you get frustrated about it.

If shep is reading this thread, I hope he understands that mett can actually throw the ball and is a top flight sec caliber qb, unlike what he became accustomed to with Jefferson.

I look at the past and wonder that myself. The reality is that if there is a change, I'll believe it when I see it.
Miles has been blowing smoke for a while.

Shep's last message on twitter:
@LSUShep10 but out of those 14 catches I still had 4 touchdowns. You guys trying to talk down on me gives me more reason to leave.. I can't believe this.
yea he gone...

this whole "preferred offense" y'all keep throwing out there is a load of shite
when he has a QB he trusts its about 50/50 pass to run.

Well, this situation is a little different. But obviously, this shows Shep has no faith in the QB play next year.

Russell will have fantastic forty times, shuttle times, and verticals. He will be less impressive in the strength categories. Nonetheless, I suspect his physical talent will be enough to warrant drafting him in the middle to late rounds.
Hahaha! Shep drafted?! Are you kidding me? When was the last time a third string wr got drafted. Wake up, dummy, Al Davis is dead.

because Les didn't have a "mobile" (and i use the term loosely) QB.
thats why JL slang it. He had little choice to run his preferred offense.
Do you feel we would have been undefeated in the leading up to the SEC had JJ started all year?
Lee's stats are not exactly amazing. We won all year on our running game, defense, and special teams.

really?
It was wholly different from the pro style we ran at the beginning of the year.
It was put in place because Miles wanted JJ to be the starter despite his actual on the field play, both last year and this year.
That speaks to COACHING CHOICES. Miles again next year will have a choice.....past patterns are the best predictor of future choices.
