Seventy nfl players opted out of playing this year.

You people truly live in an LSU bubble.

Being a prospect, teams would much rather Chase sit out than play. There is nothing more for them to see when it comes to him.

Interesting stat from this weekend. Marshall wound up with the same number of TDs as Chase had last year when you go back 15 games for Marshall

He's bigger than Chase, but he does have that foot injury from last season.
I don't know if you noticed in the games so for, but the kid is completely healthy.

When did this 6'3 start with Marshall? They kept saying this on Saturday. I thought he was a legit 6'4?

He’s listed at 6’3 on the official roster.

it's funny when people complain about the drops this year. Ja'marr himself said that they did the 10,000 catches in the summer.

we may just have more drops this year than last because
1. our tight end is the son of the best WR of all time and didn't drop a pass
2. our RB was the first RB off the board and is looking great in the NFL and
3. we had 3 first round wide receivers on the same damn team

when your receivers are that good, probably the best collection of WR in LSU history and could make a case that all 3 are top 5 WR in LSU history, you're going to have a drop off in terms of talent.

Comparing just Chase and the Bama guys:

All three no doubt first round talents going into the season. Two chose to play with their team in an uncertain situation, one did not. Who do you think gets picked first? And don’t drag me into your contrarian bullshite by changing what I just plainly laid out.

the best Wide receiver goes first, so that would be Ja'marr chase.

LSU fans care way more about a player sitting out during a fake covid season than NFL execs

Is it ill will to say "will quit on team to maybe/possibly further ones own best interest"?

I dont think so. Thats just hard truth.

Of course we care more. Some of you act like the NFL doesn’t care at all, which is false. With two equal or even close players they will take the guy who didn’t sit out over the one who did.

Him sitting out doesn’t change anything.

Waddle could pass him but that is combine-dependent. Has nothing to do with Chase sitting out.

Chase’s stock only moves if he doesn’t tell well. That isn’t me being contrarian. The nfl does not care at all that he isn’t playing. Play with facts & not in your emotions

They will care when deciding between close or equal talents, which Smith and Waddle certainly are and Marshall might be.

They won’t care. But by all means kept pushing that shite narrative. We’ll hear it all year. Talk to me next April

No, just no, and this is the third time I've had to repeat myself in as many days. The amount of pettiness shown in this thread and against Chase is ridiculous. WHERE IN THE HELL WAS ALL THIS TALK LAST YEAR??? No before the opt out the lot of you were anointing him the best WR in LSU history and the surefire first WR taken and top 10 pick. The same guy that destroyed 5 first and second round DBs and made them look like children. The guy that was on the field with pass catchers like Jefferson, Marshall, Moss, and even Helaire and was still extremely dominant and looked like a seasoned pro bowl WR vs children.

Marshall is an exceptional player and could likely win the Biletnikoff this year, but all you need is a pair of working eyes to realize the difference.

Are you telling me recency bias and will to compete do not matter to NFL teams when choosing between equal talent? You don’t expect Chase to be asked many times about sitting out?

I hope he does. Just to rub it in Chase’s face that he shouldn’t have quit on the team.
