I’d put money on them to repeat for sure but anything can happen in college baseball. Not much reason to think they couldn’t apart from it’s tough to do, obviously we have before. The SEC in general is so good

Idc what the rankings are now but they’ve beaten us 11 of the last 15 so fair to say they have bragging rights on us at the moment:
2021 (0-5): swept us in regular season then swept us in a super regional
2022 (0-1): they objectively had the greatest season ever that didn’t end in Omaha. Beat us in SECt en route to SEC championship
2023 (4-1): we beat them in a series and handed them B2B losses in Omaha en route to our national championship
2024 (0-4): they swept us and beat us in the SEC championship game en route to their national championship
There’s no doubt these are the top 2 programs in the country so the team that wins the series this year is the #1 team in the nation and national champion favorite. Until then they’re 1 and we’re 2. Why? They’re defending champs and last unbeaten team this season.
