You can employ the shift against teams with marginal bat control, but you can't with a very good hitting teams like Tennessee. Jay gift wrapped that run. Stupid coaching.

No it wasn’t because DP depth wouldn’t have gotten the ball to 1B quick enough. This is exactly what I’m talking about. Dickinson cut that ball off before it would have ever gotten to a 2B and it was still close.
