How does that NOT sound like les miles?!? Elite roster after elite roster and we magically couldn’t score points against elite competition.

If Beth Torina has zero idea what has happened to the program then I am embarrassed for her and she simply isn’t remotely as talented/bright as I thought she was going in.

Edit: amazing the raining of downvotes I’ve gotten laying in on Dobson over the years. How can you suck at your job for over a half decade and not be fired? What field of profession allows that besides a tenured professor? Dude is creeping up on Nikki fargas for theft of our university and Beth Torina should give us answers

That was absolutely pathetic. Not one run in 14 innings. There was no Monica Abbott out there! Don't bother down voting me, just give my your own damn spin.

My spin is that Torina and Leftwich has gotten too damn lazy in their recruiting, seemingly exclusively in the Houston metro area and the occasional Georgia recruits.

You CAN NOT cut off the California pipeline! Put Sandra Simmons on salary and put her to work in her home state to bring in the nation's true top recruits.

I guess if you need to find out how damn far you are behind, its best to find out in only the second SEC series of the year.

There are no more Texas A&M-CC on the schedule.

I think you’re mostly correct but it feels like a developmental problem more than a scouting problem. I’m not sure which problem is worse?

LSU has had 3 hits in 2 GAMES at home

Winning and losing is one thing, but to not be remotely competitive at all like that is a bad look

Add 18 strikeouts to the 3 hits

So glad I punched out years ago. And I punched out because of Dobson. He sucked for like four straight years and just dropped any hopes for the program. I still thought Torina would wise up and shite can him.

But she looks like a jackass holding the university over the fire leveraging auburn’s interest for a huge unwarranted raise.

If you’re going to do that to the school you better start winning and stop shitting your pants but it’s pretty evident she feels untouchable not firing her friends. The situation has gotten honestly weird.

This offensive approach can’t win championships. She proved that with teams with better talent and outstanding pitching. She never made adjustments, offensively.

Beth couldn't win a NC with Hoover, Walljasper, Simmons, Jaquish, Bell, Landry, etc. I'm not sure she ever will. Her staff has gotten stale. Leftwich and Dobson both need to be shown the door.

Each year I state Torino is the worst coach at LSU. Each year I get roasted with down votes and each year she keeps proving me right. Down vote away I’ll just smile at the end of the year.

Torina has been a major disappointment lately with the regression of the program since the departure of Hoover/Walljasper but on no planet earth is she the 'worst coach' at LSU.

She needed to shake up her staff and bring someone in to give life to this program and develop hitters and a better uniform approach offensively. Despite our continued struggles for years against solid pitching, we continue to do the same thing. The current system is stale and she doesn't seem interested in making the changes to get over the hump to get better. That itself is fair grounds for criticism. It more so looks like a staff just content, talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

This I agree with. She watched Pawl and Nikki bleed LSU dry with mediocre to bad results and she’s following suit. Plain and simple. I’ll bet she’s fired at the end of the year and next year the program will sky rocket like baseball football and women’s Bball.

Development problem. Not very smart to assume "the top recruits" are only in CA. In fact, it is completely inaccurate and not well-informed if that's your position. TX, FL and GA often have the bulk of the "top recruits". LSU has one of the very best 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes coming in as well.

The problem isn't recruiting. Actually Coach Torina is a great recruiter and they've brought in some of the best classes in the country. The issue is, talent doesn't mean squat if you cannot develop it--especially young talent adjusting to SEC, Power 5, College-level ball. Just as bad is being the reason some might regress. Keep Coach Bet--force a restructuring of her coaching staff.

Give Beth a Raise and Extension!! She is in a very competitive conference and it’s cold this weekend. Let the weather warm up and the bats will heat up next. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Apart from the coaches you mentioned who were recent home run hires, name the other great coaches at LSU who are living up to the standard you are clearly setting for softball. Football, baseball and Women’s basketball are all in better shape right now. Which other programs consistently outperform softball? Gymnastics does, but they are on a downward trajectory since Breaux retired. T&F does, but it’s still not what it once was. Men’s golf maybe. Volleyball, tennis, men’s basketball, women’s golf, swimming, soccer, and cross country are all inferior programs.

Semjase's giant snowball has formed at the top of the mountain.

It's just sitting there collecting potential energy.

Once it starts rolling down the slope, there a 100% chance the HC will be "Farewell and Adieu" after the season.

The snowball is infallible.

I've seen enough of this DiNardo-Tepper Softball Shiteshow.

So 6-7 sports are doing better than softball yet where do the resources those sports receive compared to softball. Including coaches pay. I’ll change my wording……
For the resources she’s afforded she is by far the worst coach (results wise) on campus.
