Perfect storm of greatest season ever leading to the most losses of players by the champ. I would guess no other national champ ever has lost so much. Imagine if vincent, shelvin, chase, stingley, logan would have played as planned before season. I doubt state wins. Gotta play the hand youre dealt at this point.

The lack of preparation, sharpness and ability to adjust is directly related to Coaching. Hopefully Coach O recognizes it and make the necessary changes starting with his coaching staff. Poor spacing on crowded route trees, lack of pocket awareness, dbs out of position, poor calls in the red zone.... Coaches have to see this in practice and fix it before they put a product like that out ...

It's not all on the Oline. They could've played better to help him out more, but some of it was on Myles own doing.

Power Hour LSU Myles Brennan Breakdown

I know this video is not the end-all-be-all.
But the video breakdown of Myles made some good points about his pocket awareness and etc.
I do believe he (Myles) will get better with more experience and time.

Maybe beating them with 2x4's would be better at getting their attention don't you think?

If that's what it takes. They were flat out sorry Saturday.

I think coaches figure things out. The normal non conference buffer games always gave us some time to prep and fix issues before SEC play. We just laid an egg out the gate. Hopefully the next two games fair better for all involved before Gainesville.

Myles just needs to see a shrink to get some confidence.

Get that boy to Fred's or Sorority Row on where every they go these days!

He had the guys open, just needs to trust himself to throw it!

LSU will be lucky for 7 wins if they continue to play like they did week 1.

If they play like they did week 1, they are a 4 or 5 win team. But LSU will not play as they did during week1,every position group and individual should get a little better every game and I really think could be 7-3 and maybe pull an upset for florida or bama to get to 8-2.

Lsu gas the talent it is young and untested on how they will react to the adversity of a humiliating loss. Let's see what happens if they can play as a team and leave it all out on the field and playing one snap at a time and not looking ahead.

Vandy and missouri are very important for the season

MSU is not that good

LSU is not that bad

The coaches blew this game more than the players did. Not that the players played well, but they were absolutely not put in a position to succeed in this game, particularly on defense. In general, Coach O has been good at acknowledging weaknesses and getting them corrected. I expect this team to still win 7 games. From here on out there is no excuse for them to not beat Vandy, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Arkansas, SCar, and A&M. Give me 1 of Auburn, Florida, and Bama.

Realists expected 7-3 or 8-2. Not a loss to MSU.

I heard someone in the offseason comparing LSU's passing scheme (Brady ball) to Leach's Air Raid.

They said the Air Raid isn't that complex, it's about 5-6 basic plays, that you run over and over and over. Kinda like an old Nebraska Power I option attack. Run this play, if the defense does A you do B, and so on.
We didn't stop A, so they never quit running it. I didn't get to watch the game in entirety because I was working, but when I did watch, they were running drag routes across the middle and wheel routes. Our defenders were chasing, couldn't catch them, and they kept turning it up.
Going back to the Nebraska analogy, it's like the fullback dive/QB keeper option. If you don't shut that down, it happens all game, and they go up and down the field.

I think at some point, this defense will not allow you to do the same thing every time you run a play. And the offense will become more relaxed and comfortable.

every player gets better with more experience and time.

The question is how much better and how much time?

Unfortunately, Brennan needs to get MUCH better at mental things, and that's a tough ask. Fixing physical things or play-calling is one thing, but getting Brennan to be able to do pre-snap reads, go through progressions, be confident enough to let it go earlier, and generally just have more pocket presence isn't something that can drastically improved in a few weeks - especially when a guy has already been in the program for 4 years.

I think he is what he is.

LSU fans are the best - I mean, who would expect that LSU would ever lose a game again after last season.
It's called sports. You win some, you lose some. The goal is to win as many as you can.

In over 100 years of football, LSU has only three seasons where they did not lose during the regular season. 1958, 2011 (except for last game) and 2019.

I was nearly blackout through most of the second half. Was it really as bad as it seems?

Zero offense, players beat constantly, defense was a sieve.

I’m so thankful we won the natty and didn’t lose to Clemson. I would’ve melted for years.
