Of LSU's 9 SEC opponents, only one, poor Arkansas, is not quality. Auburn is the next least of the teams we play. Everyone else has a good to really good team. This is great except for the playoff format, where 2 teams seem to get in every year that have no business being there. 9-3 SEC teams should be treated like 10-2 teams in the process. but they won't be.

Stankey Sankey really let us down. As did the Big 10 commissioner

I like a schedule filled with compelling games.

I don't give a shite about crappy OOC cupcake games and games against bad SEC teams.

I realize we want to make the playoffs, but football is entertainment, and I'd rather have a dozen dramatic games during the regular season than a watered down schedule just to make the playoffs.

Sankey is being out maneuvered at every turn.

First he thrusts an expanded SEC schedule on everyone

Then he floats the idea of the SEC breaking away from the NCAA

And follows that up by suing LSU to "test" limits of conference self governance

No one plays harder schedules than the SEC. We will play anyone, anywhere.

But not every conference is built the same. A nine game SEC schedule in which you have to play Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Kentucky, MS State, Auburn, and Arkansas is much different than any other conference. Take Indiana's regular season schedule last season, their toughest opponents were Illinois, Iowa, Oregon, and Penn State. That's a far cry from an SEC schedule. Texas Tech's toughest opponents last year were Utah and BYU, and they got in the playoff over a 9-3 Texas team. What do you think Texas Tech's record would have been playing Texas' schedule from last year? Then what would the Longhorns record be playing Tech's schedule?

This 100%

I want to go to war and fight the toughest. If I am still standing in the end fine. If not, my body of work will speak for itself. Why entertain the cupcake games against Eastern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Georgia State, blah blah blah....... Heck no! Let's saddle up and ride! Geaux Tigers!

The bottom half of the little 10 is absolute DOGSHIT.

The elite teams in that league have MULTIPLE breathers dotting their schedule.

No such luck in the SEC.

Which is why the BCS was the best idea anyone has ever come up with.

Rankings are not only based on W-L record; it’s who they played and how they played. Except Notre Dame, of course.
