What’s the reason for their confidence?! I don’t get it! If they preach “history” then I can do the same bc LSU plays down to their opponent. If I have to hear that they beat bama in the late 90s I guess I can use the same excuse for LSU beating bama those few times in the 2000s right?! My favorite Tech fact that they never bring up is that they refused to play in a bowl bc “they were disrespected”. After this week I’m ready to call LA Tech “North ULL”.... I’ll take everything I said back if they beat our bayou bengals BUT please know it’s not happening!!! Thank you and have a great night

They just have typical Little Brother Syndrome. They pull against LSU because they know they’re inferior and they’re very insecure about it. A guy at work who is a Tech grad predicted Auburn to beat LSU 59-14. I told him he was out of his mind. Needless to say, he laid low all week this week.

Tech has a good team. They’ve also had 2 weeks to prepare for their Super Bowl tomorrow night.
If they could beat LSU, the game will be mentioned in some of the players’ obituary 50 years from now.
The Tigers better bring it early and not give Tech hope.

It’s gonna be the typical game & when you’re going to pee after the first qtr there will be a guy in his 30s behind you telling you about Tech’s stats, shoving his phone in your face while trying to explain what’s really happening on the field... Sidenote he’s never played a snap in his life

Damn near everyone I know that went to Tech is a LSU fan if they grew up in Louisiana. I ought to know I have a degree from both Tech and LSU. Nobody gives a shite about football up there it’s a suitcase university. They may pull for Tech to have success but LSU is their SEC team.

Good lord. No. Our money bags alumni donor threatened to take away his donations to the school if we ever, ever play ULM because I-20 rivalry and were above ULM. I mean, we are. But us declining that bowl partially for that reason and partially as a holdout for a better bowl in ‘12 that didn’t happen is why we didn’t get a bowl that year. Garbage scenario. No one complained about “disrespect.” Ironically, that year ULM got to pretend we were scared and wouldn’t have arse reamed them in Shreveport in that bowl after they...got arse reamed by Miami (of Ohio).

That’s cute! So insecure you hopped on a message board at 9pm to dissect someone’s post... holdout for another bowl? Really?! Tech was approached by the girl at a bar and turned her down! Selfish move on their part, think about all the guys that were on that team that wanted 1 more chance to play! I went to HS with 2 of them & they still aren’t over it. That’s all I’ll say about that.

Same. I follow both teams. Have attended many LSU games, and went to the Tech v Southern game this year.
Tech often has an NFL quality running back or receiver or two, maybe a grad transfer QB. Those kids could be counted on to score at least 14 on anybody but Alabama (though Tech has beaten them a time or two). But I’m not seeing that player this year. Jaqwis Dancy is good, but not like Dixon or Boston, at least yet. The QB is suspect. Receiver Smoke Harris is promising but young.
LSU should win easily. I hope Tech makes a good showing, but I’m not feeling the Dawgs sniffing victory in Tiger Stadium this year.
